I agree with everyone else. I would also add to make small weight loss goals if you have a lot to lose. Whatever you eat make sure to stay within your daily calories even if that means adding what you'll eat for the day before the meal so you know what you'll have left to use. For me it's peppermint patties and doritos. I now only have a peppermint patty every once in awhile at work only. I won't eat them at home or I'll keep snacking on them. I gave up doritos because they weren't worth the calories they cost and I actually don't miss eating them that much.

I have also had issues staying under my sugar because there can be many grams of sugar in breads even whole wheat, which I'll have for breakfast and lunch. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I will definitely go to a running store and have them fit me with a good pair. I'm in the US on LI, NY so I'll try the Runners Edge or Runner's Stop.

You can definitely start running at any weight. I'm 253 lbs now and was playing softball at 280 lbs. I started the c25k app recently and have been using it for 3 weeks. You slowly build up to running more minutes. It gets easier every time and I feel amazing after. Give it a shot!

I agree. Chewing gum doesn't make me hungry. I chew gum all the time to keep from snacking when it's not necessary, especially at work when it gets stressful. I love Orbit sugarfree sweet mint or spearmint/peppermint gum the most.
