For all the newbies just starting SL’s. I originally didn't read the PDF and missed this part when reading the summary, but ladies who are just starting this program now, make sure you alternate workouts A & B every week. So basically Week 1 workouts would be: Workout A, Workout B, Workout A and Week 2 workouts would then…

WOW!! super impressive lifting especially the bench press at 85 lbs. I just started lifting and am using the SL's program and right now after a couple weeks, I can only bench press 65 lbs which feels heavy enough without failure. I'll probably be stuck at 65 lbs for awhile on both bench and OHP but your gains are awesome.…

Can't wait to try these exercises. Been thinking about putting together a core routine on non SL days. Thanks!

I'm going back to the JEFIT app. I tried the SL's app but I can't change the weight either due to my iPhone update as well. It's great at keeping the history but it's no better than JEFIT, and at least using JEFIT you can change weights as well as sets, it has an adjustable rest timer and you can also see the exercise…

This was really helpful to me as well. I'm in week 2 and am also having a difficult time with the bench press. My form is good. I use a wide grip but still have difficulty keeping the bar from tilting while doing reps. Most likely because I'm so weak on my upper body so it can be alittle frustrating having this problem…

I've lost it as well and at this point I'm more focused on my weight lifting program and running 3x a week. The weight is still coming off so I just focus on my getting stronger and gaining muscle goals. Keep focusing on your workouts and the weight will continue to come off. Great job so far!!

It was definitely satisfying to feel the effects of such a light workout. So I'm excited about how this program can help me become stronger and develop muscle over time.

I don't have a bath, just a shower so guess I'm SOL. But like you said I'll work through it like I did tonight and maybe find some ice-wraps or icy hot or something for my thighs. Thanks!

Hey guys. I just wanted to know if anyone had these pains after your first couple sessions and what helps to alleviate it. I finished workout A Tuesday and am doing workout B tonight if my thighs let me squat. They are killing me and have been the last couple of days. I can deal with the pain walking around because I'm…

This is from my own post. I actually started this morning and after had a good 1st workout. I was able to the bar with weights and although I had to stop it from tilting at first. Nothing was too heavy at all. Completed the 5x5 squat (45 lbs), 5x5 bench press (45 lbs) and barbell row (65 lbs) after doing warm up sets.…

thanks for the help, everyone. I read the sticky but had those follow up questions. Anyway, I started this morning and after had a good 1st workout. I was able to the bar with weights and although I had to stop it from tilting at first. Nothing was too heavy at all. Completed the 5x5 squat (45 lbs), 5x5 bench press (45…

I'm a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding next July 2014. Totally forget sometimes but it is one of the reasons I decided to finally lose weight. I am determine to finally get to a body type where I can be totally comfortable with myself to have a good time. Plus the time frame helps keep me motivated to continue each day.…

Like the other person said, just make small goals and they'll eventually turn into big successes. I hated making small goals at first, but after awhile only focusing on losing 10 lbs at a time kept me from being overwhelmed and from wanting to quit. Also try to exercise as much as possible and log your foods. Good luck!

Welcome to MFP. It's been a great tool for me so I hope it works for you too.

Holy crap!! You are the inspiration I needed to get started. I've been losing weight by jogging, logging my calories and doing some dumbbell/bodyweight exercises. I'm just at my half-way point and I'm nervous that I won't end up with the completely toned body I really want. So I've been looking into Stronglifts for a few…

Mostly annoys me when people ask me if I want to eat something unhealthy that was brought into the workplace that I already said no thanks to. They know I'm doing with well my weigh-loss, but want to try to talk me into eating things I don't want all the time. Fortunately my willpower is rock solid.

Playing: softball, although I used to play baseball for 10 years. Watching: baseball and sometimes football/basketball

Hi everyone. I'm Angelique from LI, NY. I'm a full-time student working a full-time and part-time job as well. I just turned 30 earlier this year but just recently found this group and wanted to check it out. Love MFP and have been doing well with my weight-loss goals. Half way there but am now looking forward to starting…

So excited for you!!! I actually just had a NSV myself when I finally went shopping for pants for the first time in a long one, because I got tired of friends and coworkers telling me that I was swimming in my clothes, especially my pants. I've known this for awhile but couldn't really afford to get any more. Finally I was…
