  • once you hit your goal weight your maintenance will not be at 1700 anymore
  • You can go to My home Goals Change Goals Check custom - continue Then you can change sodium levels there. I lowered mine and also changed my protein goal to be higher and carb lower.
  • Yikes. i didn't see that post, that was rude. You are working hard, and whoever posted that you should eat something is being really mean and rude. You are right, whatever works. But also - someone who burns those high calories by just walking ARE working their *kitten* off. That is why you adjust your work out as you lose…
  • Think about it this way....my friend is smaller than me, we can do the same work out and I will burn sometimes double the amount she does. Simply because I weigh more. I didn't work harder than her but because of my weight I did. I am not overweight, I have little to lose, but still - weigh more, you burn more. Just like…
  • I'd like to know too. I'm not currently taking any but have considered it.

  • Running on a treadmill is actually less of an impact than running on concrete. A treadmill is "padded" to take some of the blow off your leg and body. Running on concrete is terrible for you. Can you run on a track? Maybe at a local high school or college? That is padded. Or on grass? The issue with running on grass is you…
  • Ad's are aimed towards what you look at on your computer, scary but true. Did you recently look up calorie count for DD? Or maybe just calorie count for something similar to DD?
  • estimate how much you ate then log that. i think it is better to over estimate than under.
  • I typically add things separate if I don't know. For example - that couscous you had. I would log x amount of couscous, x amount of olives, x amount of chicken, x amount of carrots, x amount of almonds. If you are unsure how many, slightly over estimate. but i take a mental note of how much is in each, im getting better a…
  • I'd like to hear more about this too...
  • Salads are not always better.

  • ALL lunch meat is high in sodium. Check out their website for low sodium meat picks (there aren't many but you can get an idea of what ones are the lowest compared). Or you could always just do a veggie sub. You can also pick off half the meat they put on it and save it for tomorrow. Or make it a salad or flat bread. Skip…

  • Few things. Drink more water. Consume less sodium. You gained some muscle.
  • Thank you so much for all the feedback! Lots of good ideas!
  • Thanks, I'll check it out. I'd still love other ideas for meals and foods...
  • I've been starting my mornings with hard boiled eggs. I am out of them but I was doing good with that for a week. I should get more. I can't buy bread. I'll eat it all in a day. Rice is okay though. Grains are okay, just not bread.
  • Any suggestions of what brand/kind? I've been making a "taco soup" and it is a huge hit. It's mostly beans. How can I cook lentils?
  • You can microwave scrambled eggs. They aren't too bad!
  • Avoid turkey and ham. Their website has the sodium count for everything and they are HIGH. I believe ham was less than turkey but not by much. The best bet to avoid sodium is just do a veggie sub with cheese. There is still sodium but not nearly as much as in the deli meat.
  • They also have wraps. Or a salad. But unless you are really close to going over carbs today then I wouldn't worry about it. Just get a 6 inch. And careful on the adding condiments and cheese. If you are doing a meat sandwich you can skip the cheese. If you are just doing the veggie sandwich add cheese. But if you really…
  • I wouldn't say "forget the rest of the day anyway" but do not stress over going over today. You still have a good amount of hours left in the day depending where you live. Just try and make some healthy choices the rest of the day but do NOT go to bed hungry. If you go to bed hungry tomorrow will be worse. One day at a…
  • Twice is more than once and once is more than not at all. You moved this week, give yourself some credit for doing that. I had a goal today to work out for 60 minutes but only made it 20 because I had to eat RIGHT before. I want to continue but I know I can't (without getting sick), but I also know 20 minutes is better…
  • but those ARE worth it. haha! uh i mean. no. they arent. do not eat them!!!! i am addicted to wendy's and although i do sometimes get it (not nearly as much as i used to) and think they are almost always worth it, the FRIES on the other hand. i often say they were not worth the calories, especially if they are cold. if…
  • 24 pounds in 4 months is a very healthy loss. I wouldn't aim to lose more. That is on average 6 pounds a month or 1-2 pounds a week. Keep doing what you are doing.
  • I did not read a single post here that was not supportive to you. I just read posts that disagreed with the idea of him NOT having it in the house because you didn't think you could control yourself. He is being supportive of you, he is HIDING the food from you in HIS dresser drawer. Sorry if this offended you but I still…
  • He's hiding them. They are in his dresser. I wouldn't throw them away on him. It is your eating life style, not his. He is doing what he can to be supportive but that doesn't mean he can't have those snacks if he wants them. I am caring for my two young brothers and they are still eating foods they like (but still healthy,…
  • 1/2 cup of pistachios (in shells) is only 170 calories...compared to half a cup of cashews which is like 360. Maybe go for pistachios to eat more for your punch? I measure out a serving and that's it. Close the bag. But after 1/2 cup of pistachios (with shells) I don't really want more.
  • Also sugar intake. I started to track my sugar and sodium intake and both are high. I was able to cut down on sodium but sugar is hard. I don't typically count natural sugars though.
  • I used to drink soda a lot. I'm kind of grossed out to think of the amount I drank. Now, I just don't buy it, I just walk by the aisle at the grocery store. It really is the easiest way. And if I ever stop somewhere for food, (I'm a sucker for Wendy's but I am doing so much better not going or just picking something…
  • I have the same problem. I have no idea how to help it or fix it or what to believe. For awhile I was weighing myself every morning and every night. I'd be 10 pounds heavier at night. Then it started to be closer to 5 pounds difference, now it is the same. However, I can weigh myself tomorrow and be 5, 10 sometimes 15…
