http://hypothyroidmom.com/hashimotos-your-body-is-not-supposed-to-destroy-itself-right/ That site has a LOT of information!! I'd get seen by someone else, and keep going, until you find one who'll take your symptoms into account, and not just the numbers. Good luck, I really feel for you! <3

You look so much happier! :) congratulations! Thank you for posting it's a huge inspiration to me, since I'm about 20 odd lbs away from onederland myself!

^^^ This! And, if you're eating the JC stuff, full of sodium, and not drinking enough water, you're going to retain. Period. Eat real food, not packaged, drink water, and the other things mentioned above. <3 Oh, and.. NEVER GIVE UP!

Yes, this. I've been told, and read numerous times(through various Dr.s) that the testing for a gluten intolerance is not the best way to determine the problem. Food restriction is. I would stay away from the gluten free substitutes, they are high in calories and low in actual nutrition. Eat plenty of the foods found on…

I would try the 1600 cals, and then go from there. Bodies are crazy and don't do the same thing as the next. Darn it. Would be so much simpler! lol I started MFP about 250 and had about 1500 cals, I think. I'm now at like 1400 cals...and 219. So I would think that the 1600 for you would be a good starting point.…

Grass isn't grain. Technically it's the seed of the grass.

I few cravats here before I say anything: I have non-celiac gluten intolerance, and Hashimoto's disease(both autoimmune). I've also do extensive reading and research done by medical teams and doctors on these two diseases as well as autoimmune diseases in general. My mother and my children have gluten issues as well as…

I'm in the west TX area, and I'm newly veg/vegan as well. I just haven't told anyone, including my husband! lol

this!

I was just coming to post something similar! I probably still will, but I'm mostly vegan, and have gluten/grain, dairy and animal allergies to work around in my house. I think I;m like 80% ish vegan...? Please feel free to add me, :)

I don't have any, but this makes me think, hmmmmm. Might be fun to get something....

High blood pressure Hashimotos Heartburn knees hurt back hurts no energy hair is falling out *some is related to 3 pregnancies in 4 years, but I was overweight while pregnant, and had not so nice end of pregnancy outcomes, healthwise.

Awesome!!!! :D This is great :)

I've been complaining on FB about MFP being down. o.O So I took all my MFP feed down frustrations and power cleaned. lol

1) Fat doesn't cause fat. 2) Fitness trainer doesn't = nutritional educator 3) low fat isn't HEALTHIER than regular fat. (tell me how something manipulated in a SCIENCE lab is healthier than nature made?!)
-
I had a bunch of problems with too much fat for about 2 years, give or take. Then made some changes in my diet for other reasons, and now I have no issues with eating things higher in fat. I think it does really just depend on you, and your diet.

Hey, mom of 3(1 in heaven) here. I've had three children in 4 years, talk about making a mess of my body and health. They haven't been healthy pregnancies either, one reason being I was overweight to begin with. My son is 21 months, and my daughter 9 months. My highest weight in the last 4 years was 279-283. I'm down to…

Good idea, making the schedule, and sticking to it. I'm going to do that myself. :) Thanks! lol

It can be hard, even with a support system. Which is why you'll hear so many successful 'losers' (haha!) say that it begins, and end with you. Where you mind is, how you will deal with the day to day temptations to eat whatever you want, to forgo the workouts, etc. Right now...I'm having to tell myself every 3-5 minutes…

I second the weight everything you eat. I'm finding that my weight is 'stuck' right now, I can't seem to break 230lbs. So, no more being lazy in the logging. Today I've started putting everything, and I mean EVERYTHING on a scale.
-
Hi, I'm 32, 5'7'', my highest weight was 279 (thank you 3 pregnancies), and I can closely relate to how you feel. I have days like that myself, I think we all do. The key is to have a plan, a support system, and patience...remember that it took us how long to get here? I'm a mom to 2(3rd is in heaven) littles and am just…

I've always thought the 8 glasses wasn't accurate. I always thought though, that it was half your body weight in water. But lately I've been aiming for clear toilet bowls, and have gotten them. :)

This is awesome...and guess what...freeing! Thank you for posting. I need to remember this. Made should read it everyday, until I have it memorized. lol

Love this, so funny but very true. My belly tells a story too...I can only hope that it too shrinks a flattens a little. I don't need super flat or even tight, but less is all I ask! PS I love swimming! It does great things for your body, and low impact on the bones ;)
-
Thats pretty much the conclusion I've come too. Cannot have them in the house.
-
Yeah, which is why, 90% of the time, ice cream isn't allowed in the house. Recently figured out that we're all not able to have it, but this past weekend I bought some. Should not have. And chips...I can't do moderation with chips. o.O I know this...yet I bought it. Blah, just feeling mad at myself now for even buying it.…

I need to find my inner nagging voice that'll tell me, Aw hell naw girl, you don't want that!
-
Today I went over by 500 calories though...that can't happen every day :( I can't have corn in the house. My son and husband are allergic to it.
-
Thank you, yes it's all great. Reminds me of very obvious things to use. :)
-
Wow thanks guys! I've saved a lot of the youtube channels and videos already :) I'm so stoked...looks like I can find a little motivation hidden under the fat cells. haha! Can't wait to try these out. :) My son would LOVE the dancing, and my daughter, though I'd have to hold her, convenient weight. He loves music and…
