Yup, you can have my pound from this week. So 148.4 total now?

Sometimes I think we create a huge hurdle for ourselves by imagining that getting fitter and/or getting thinner is an "all-or-nothing" exercise. Restarting a regular exercise program doesn't have to be with 2 hours in the gym, for example, if that was your previous pattern. Far easier to say "OK, I really can't be bothered…

Count me in. I'll be happy with any house but Hufflepuff sounds like me during my treadmill running so that would be my preference!
-
Good luck. I am just returning after a couple of years, too. Not got so much weight to lose as you but the journey is still as hard initially, I think! Just taken early retirement at 57 so no excuse for not exercising - difficult to resist eating snacks, though, as I am now at home much more. Good start to the exercise…

Little by little we will all get there:happy:

Ooh, off to a slow start this month.
-
Groan! Just made it. And not a step more.

You look so much better - and happier - well done. I'll bet you feel like a different person too. Keep up the good work. Fantastic motivation.

I'm in Glasgow too. Trying to get thinner for my son's wedding in August and because I have signed up to run the Women's 10K in May - something I have done many times before and I ALWAYS hate the training. So if I was lighter, it would be easier, right? Well, I hope so. If you are keen on exercise (or would like to become…

So close. 3 miles tomorrow will do it:drinker:

Yup, count me in. I am only going to just make my 50 for February but maybe I could be a bit more ambitious for March (3 extra days, of course).
-
I'd like to join you guys, if this is still possible. My weight loss has slowed because I am eating too much (simple!) and I could do with a bit more motivation. Also planning to run 60 miles in March so my two challenges running side my side should keep me on the straight and narrow. Weigh in on Friday then and I will…

Will I make it?
-
Almost there.:drinker:
-
My longest run yet at 5.5miles. Looks like I will make it!

Ugh. Even the phrase "every morning I wake up early" makes me shudder! Maybe that is just the wrong time of day for you (I am absolutely NOT a morning person), or maybe you just need to split your exercise regime and do less, twice a day. Anyway, I do think it gets better - as you exercise more regularly you will gradually…

Brief pause due to injury but hoping to catch up again.

I find people didn't notice until I had a haircut and then they said "Have you lost weight"!
-
just over half-way.
-
Fantastic - you look so well. Good luck with your fertility treatment - and remember that kids need healthy parents, so keep up the good work.
-
22 miles now

"Well, I'm soon to be 46 so I'm certainly not in the YOUNG category anymore. I'm close enough. Thought I'd share. I've lost 110 pounds and have completely changed my body. " Cindy - you look absolutely amazing! What a journey you have been on over the past 2 years. You are just transformed - you look so fit and happy.

Anything freshly baked - so I don't risk baking anything. Ice cream. Good crisps (potato chips, for the American contributors). I do buy frozen yoghourt, though and enjoy that probably even more than ice cream, so that is not too bad.

Hey, don't beat yourself up about this. But you'd probably find it useful to write down just exactly how you feel about it now and have a look at what you have written occasionally to stop any future slide right in its tracks. I have difficulty resisting any "goodies" that are even in the house - if you have young children…

Well, done - it is fantastic to see the ticker move. Keep up the good work. You have a great community here happy to support you.
-
On track for making it (barring illness/injury). Wish I had chosen a month with more days, though:ohwell:
-
Plodding on. Certainly having signed up for this challenge is providing motivation not to slack off too much.
-
Note to self: don't take two days off in a row again - too much catch up to do!
-
Count me in but I am not sure how to do the ticker thing. 8miles so far.

If it is your first race then don't wear headphones as you will be soooo fired up with the atmosphere and the crowd support you will not need them. You will love it and it is great to hear all the shouts from the crowd - whether or not they are for you doesn't matter. Enjoy.
