Great posts---we are so lucky to have these "bad" things to celebrate. My engagement ring is so loose---I keep putting off re-sizing it--what size do I go to? This is a good problem.

Potatoes are my weakness.....for me they are a treat once a week at most. Everyone is different but when I stopped eating potatoes, wheat and corn on a regular basis and made them "treats only" I lost weight and even more began to feel much healthier. Great substitutes for potatoes are yams, for wheat bread--Ezkial bread,…

I find that lots of lean protein and low [about half of what MFP suggests] work best for me. Before, when I ate too many carbs I often crashed mid-day, craved sugar and had other weird stuff go on. Alos, I exercise a lot--I think that protein really helps me maintain. I mostly eat: lean chicken, lean turkey, black beans,…

It's hard to deal with so much change and loss and still lose weight--be proud of yourself, get tons of support for all the life changes and keep it up. There is a whole community out here with you.

Hey, it's okay---we all struggle. I am convinced that changing the way we eat all the time, for good--and with joy [not depravation] is the key to longterm health and healthy weight. That means letting go of the guilt trips and all that stuff most of us deal with. My advice: 1) QUALITY of calories matter. There are NO…

Okay, I resisted the gym for so long---I love to run outside but in mountain states it can be challenging. I wanted to swim in a saline pool and then found out that if I volunteered 2 hours childcare a weekonly 2 hours a weekI could have a free gym membership including unlimited access to a great saline [no chlorine pool].…

Incredible. You look beautiful and should be so proud of yourself. Keep up the good work---make it a gift to you---and love yourself every day---don't wait around for the perfect anyone, just celebrate yourself and your good health.

Nice job!!!!

I strongly suggest reading: The Endometriosis Sourcebook by Mary Lou Ballweg. She started the Endometriosis Association many years ago. Their website should have a ton of great information about food and endo. Good luck!

Quality of calories matter--a lot! Eat more lean protein than suggested by the MFP and a lot less carbs [I cut mine in half]. I eat tons of organic, lean meat, organic vegies and blueberries or strawberries every day. Avoid wheat, corn, potatoes [that might help with the endo too]. Try to get some exercise---the pool can…

congratulations---you look great and even better, aren't you thrilled that you've improved your health?

I wish you the best of luck and am happy that you are looking for support. One piece of advice about "intuitive eating" is to remember that our intuition has been drastically altered by society, by the foods we've eaten as we grew up, modern stress and so on.... let us know how you do.

I'm in the minority but I think EVERYONE looks better in a tankini----and that most women of any size don't look that great in a bikini. Plus I like to swim.... having said that you look great!
-
Congratulations! You look beautiful and very healthy!

Don't give up! 1) UP that protein. 2) Start every day with a big plate of protein. 3) Eat less carbs---that means less bread, less potatoes, no chips--corn or otherwise. 4) Move, my friend, move as much as you can.
-
You look beautiful before and after. I agree with swimming---it feels great and it builds muscle!
-
Incredible! You certainly are not lazy! You look great!
-
Wow---Marilyn Monroe watch out! You look great and your story rings so true---keep up the good work.

I found a salt-water pool---and love it. Still it is hard on my hair, I apply conditioner before I put on my swim cap and swim with it on my hair. When I get done my hair is lovely and soft. I use natural products as I don't want to add even more chemicals to my life. Good luck!

Rice really isn't good for weight loss....if you can skip it, do.

Hi, You have my sympathy as I'm recovering from an injury. I think swimming would be very healing for you---or if you don't swim, pool run [you run in place wearing a water vest]. In terms of emotional eating: 1) keep a written journal where you commit to writing BEFORE and AFTER you eat, if the urge comes on, tell…

Okay, there are no quick fixes for shin splints: 1) for pain and for right after running, take an ice cube and run it up and down the affected leg 2) don't run your 5k 3) From now on---be sure you only--ONLY EVER run on grass, dirt trail, track, or asphalt---do not run on sidewalks or brick 4) Get shoes that fit---many,…

I think this is different for everyone BUT---I try to keep my carbs down to about half of what MPF gives me. I eat more protein though. And I try very hard to make sure my carbs are healthy---for me, that is staying away from: wheat breads, potatoes, corn..... Experiment and see what makes you feel healthier and lose…

Although I input all my food, in terms of the sugar limit--I eat an apple and some blueberries almost every day, that pushes me over daily. I don't "count" my two servings of food towards the sugar, even though I input them. Does that make sense? I believe that Quality of Calories is very important---there are too many…

I find them way too salty---and pricy.

Incredible! Keep going.....

I'm so glad you have a very supportive dad. As a teacher---I can relate---it is so easy to snack while running around like crazy trying to get everything done. Then there are the snacks at staff meetings, stuff kids bring in from home to celebrate everything, "gifts" from parents. Try to keep high protein, low carb snacks…
