Start doing pushups on your knees. It will help you develop upper body strength. You can also do pushups with your hands on your coffee table or couch or even the wall. As to how long it takes it verys from person to person depending on how much upper body strength you have. I was there couldn't do a pushup to save my life…

Also if 30 is too much at one time you can break it up into something that you can handle...My mom is 61 and the doc only wants her to start with 10 min a day at a slow pace. So good luck to you on your journey and here's a toast to your health:drinker:

20lbs is not alot and is very hard to get rid of. Just be patient sometimes the body's natural responce to working out is to gain weight aka muscle and then you will start to lose weight. Maybe you seen a news cast with JA in it or saw a show or even a comerical (SP) with her in it or something recently which caused your brain to file it away and also the celeb crush you have. I have had weird dreams as well and sometimes a dream is just a dream.

What ever works best for you so that you are able to keep up with it. And don't let anyone tell you that you have to work out at a time that is inconvenent for you. Every day. I like to track my progress daily. And I don't freak out if I gain a pound one or two days.

Losing just 10 lbs can lower your BP. I have lost close to 10 LBS and my BP is getting closer to normal. So yes 10 LBS will bring your BP down as much as limiting your sodium. Good luck with your BP.

I absolutly love my food scale I just bought one and am shocked at how small serving sizes are. I never learned proper portion sizes and I also don't do well by compairing it to other things like meat deck of cards is that 4 or 5 oz accutally.

Spices 5 or 6 calories per teaspoon. I love cooking with spices as opposed to salt.

I fit back in my pre pregnancy clothes after the birth of my daughter. Sorry I can't give you any advice on getting back there because I was one of the lucky ones that bounced back right away but it is possible.

I agree with Sgtrowley having a buddy to workout with you can be the push that you need. I would not work out for a day or two and my now ex husband would start screaming about how I need to workout motivation killer. Yes working out is a big one for the military. And yes a drill SGT can motivate like none other.
