Absolutely. I do weigh every day, mostly because I'm obsessive that way but I only record once a week, or when i show an actual loss. I do get interested in my trends... I'll go a while bouncing around the same 3 or 4 lb range then suddenly one day, whoosh, one, two or even three pounds down. So I'll watch that another day…

I think that you need to dust yourself off, get back on track, and eat something reasonable the very next time you get hungry. :) I have been in your shoes many, many times. And I flogged myself with so much guilt every time, and punished myself (sometimes by stuffing down even MORE food, if that makes sense...) Thankfully…

I know it is different for everyone, but quite frankly the only times I have ever been successful with weight loss have been when I tracked. I too tend to get a little obsessive but right now I'm just trying to kind of use that tendency to work in my favor. I find it almost second nature now and it's not really an…

If you do only decide to move the 15 minutes (and I agree with those who say it should be way, way farther than that!) if you are still in the same county, anything he tries to file will still be heard by the same judge, who seems to have his number, fortunately. I'd also make sure you can prove he was FULLY informed of…

I do have those days but thankfully not as often lately, and when I do I still attempt to log everything, even if the final numbers make me cringe. I had a day where MFP predicted I would be 4 pounds heavier in the next five weeks if every day were like that... thankfully it of course won't be, but boy did I shudder at the…

My 12 year old adores the brown sugar cinnamon, we've had them around here for quite a while and I didn't realize they were relatively new... perhaps we were a test market. hub likes Chocolate fudge. I have loved the frosted strawberry and blueberry sinice I was a kid. I don't buy them because while I love them soooo much,…

Today I was 241. Not even quite halfway to my original goal of a 15-lb loss over this challenge, but a loss is a loss and considering how wild my week has been, I'll take it! My food has been all over the place, low some days and over some others. but i was also very active, lots of heavy lifting and wielding power tools…

247/244 so only a half pound down the only thing different I really did was start paying better attention to my logging, as I has started to seriously slide - and the results are very clearly slowing in the numbers I know just redoubling my efforts will get me back in gear. At my weight there is no reason why at least…

As I type this, I am sitting next to two little tins on my desk for collecting loose change, labeled for my planned rewards when I hit my half way and final goals: "Tatt fund" and then "Boob lift fund." :drinker:

Sing it, sister. Allons-y!

These ideas a all fab. I want to start lifting eventually after a little more of my weight comes off and had no idea how to start.

I'm doing ok, I guess... the last two weeks have been pretty crazy, and I'm now about to start the busiest week of my spring (a show that I'm directing opens next Friday.) I haven't lost anything, only maintained, though I guess with as off the wall my food has been that it could have been worse. But, now I'm two weeks…

he he, I was about to post a link to the same thread  It is a great example of how weight and size do not always correlate.

Brilliant transformation... really! You are right where I hope to be, perhaps a year or so from now if I keep going the way I am. ^Swoon. Totally stealing this.

OP, I think I understand what you are getting at, though everyone's mileage can and will vary. I saw a couple of TLC programs about some morbidly obese people trying to make changes in their lives... one week there was a woman about 400 pounds who was bedridden, hadn't walked in years and was on every medication known to…

The only thing you've 'done' is decide to get back on here and do something for yourself. :flowerforyou:

:flowerforyou: I think I love this.

Gah... really, really late to the party this week, I know. Was out of town for the weekend and now cramming two months' worth of work into the next week as I have a show opening a week from tomorrow. Which is ALWAYS challenging sleep and food-wise. In the past it's been way too easy to just fall back on fast food for…

Not exactly the same I know, but I'm an actor looking to get back out there and found out a local company is doing one of my favorite musicals this winter. Auditions are in November. One of the roles I'm aiming for does require you to look sexy as well as having a killer voice... so I'm training both my body, and whipping…

Today I ended a frantic and very emotional dress search for my stepson's graduation. I was frustrated and in tears because despite my loss, my size hasn't really changed and I am not into the dress I had set aside for the trip. Finally found something today. My weight has stayed still this week. I've been skating and I…

^This! I too am an actor but have mostly been directing and haven't been on stage in years. Mostly because I lost the confidence to audition for anything because my "type" is too hard to cast. I've started getting serious with MFP, and my motivation was further renewed when I found out a local company is doing "Into the…

11, 12, 13, 14 & 15! My inability to be cast in any decent roles: am an actor/director, mostly a director, as I always present a casting dilemma to directors; I am a talented enough actor but too fat for many roles I would other wise rock. When I do get cast, I am always stuck with roles where attractiveness (or a lack…

I can relate to just about every one of these (ok, maybe except the man boobs) 1. Diabetes that the way I was going, shouldn't have been a surprise 2. Sleep apnea/snoring so loud that I swear is going to drive hubby into the guest room one of these nights (and oh, yeah, the part about worrying that I might not wake…

I know that my BP technically did not cause my weight gain... but rapid cycling and stuffing myself when I was on manic highs as well as other highly impulsive, highly self-destructive behaviors sure did. Same with the blackest of depression crashes. I'm on Tegretol and Lamictal, which has helped noticeably with the highs,…

I wish I could "Like" all of you ladies' NSV's a la Facebook lol My pants are getting baggy and I have very few tops that aren't huge roomy 4x that I'm bothering to wear these days, and I can't quite yet get into the few nice things I saved from the last time I lost weight, so quite frankly I know I'm looking a little…

I so could have written this post. Hub constantly is astounded because I have so many clothes laying around but I keep telling him I "have nothing to wear." I can't fit into most of it, or it's seasonally inappropriate even it does fit. I live in two or three baggy pairs of elastic waist pants (same pants, couple of…

grill 'em too, yum! Experiment with different herbs and spices.

I started at 275 and am looking to get to 125 (I'm 5'1"). Everything people have been saying is spot on. Logging everything (it may seem like a hassle at first, but will become second nature after just a few weeks) and breaking down into small goals is the way to go. I'm planning some rewards for milestones along the way.…

It was tough for me the first few weeks so I steered clear completely, now about once a month I'll have some fast food as a treat... I scoured the company web sites to find the best deal for the calories and for me it is a Burger King Whopper Junior (no cheese, but the mayo is my vice) and a small order of fries (about 680…

I needed a few things for summer so I got two pairs of shorts and three tops on Friday... I am 30 pounds down but just barely into the next size :grumble: but all my current stuff is heavier and for cooler weather so I did need something. I bought fairly cheap stuff (spent maybe $50 bucks on it all), and it should see me…
