Not so super healthy if you consider all the BPA in the tin lining. But very quick to make and still better than buying a powdered soup...

Are those net calories?

Thanks guys! I'll give Tabata a try. My knees are choosy ones :-) - I have no problems doing squats, even lunges, but anything that requires both feet to leave the ground is going to cause some pain.

Hi there, feel free to add me - I live in Germany.
-
Thanks!

I tried taking them at night, sadly it did not work for me ( my TSH tripled within 6 months ). My endo was against it, my GP said that it only works if you really eat NOTHING for 3-4 hours before taking them.
-
Glad I found you guys. I'll try to keep my "Anything after dinner" section empty except for my iron supplement ( < 15 kcal ) and an occasional protein drink if I am feeling really hungry. I'm starting today ( 2nd October ).

Your legs look amazing! What a transformation!
-
Do you use organic or synthetic Vit C? Does it make any difference?
-
Normally I wash it down with water.. I'll try taking it with some juice. I haven't been tested yet, but I do not have the typical symptoms.
-
@kcvance - thanks. I will wait and see then, maybe it takes a bit of time after your Vit D levels are back to normal before this osteocalcin stabilizes as well.
-
I'm in - not sure about the weight loss ( I'm hypothyroid and just had my meds adjusted so I'm not optimistic about it ) but I will continue my clean eating-exercising-relaxing plan and see what happens.
-
What a difference. It is clearly visible!
-
It depends - you can have an autoimmune version of it ( Hashimoto's ) which is not curable and can only be managed with medication and appropriate diet to keep the antibodies in check.
-
I'm still looking for a perfect exercise combo for me but the general advice seems to be: 1) do not be scared of lifting weights 2) do not stress your body with very high intensity exercises if you have an autoimmune disease.

Thank you everyone, I will check out your recommendations. In the meantime I'm doing a Jackie Warner video. It has two 25 min videos using her Pyramid Training method - it is short but it is a true killer if you use heavy enough dumbbells.
-
Yes I do - I'm not really good at describing them but e.g. lifting dumbbells in my ( straight ) arms - sideways and to the front or pressing them above my head. I usually do three sessions with weights a week.
-
For me it looks like a TDEE calculation for a sedentary person. I'm 5'7'', weigh 145 lbs - my BMR is 1412 and TDEE 1694, here I get 1440 kcal to lose weight, 1768 kcal to maintain.
-
Thanks everyone for your responses. I had another good look at my Fitbit estimates - I started using it in December and my daily average is about 2400 kcal burned. My scale says that my body fat % is about 29-30% but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I remember it was showing 25% after my pregnancy when I was 6 kgs lighter.…

I do. About 10 km in total, half of a distance with a child carrier attached.

38 yo with a 2 yo daughter, my diary is open to friends..

Thanks maracuya23, I'll get this one. And ashleyaplewh, doesn't it change the taste of the dishes? I can't really imagine, say, tomatoe sauce with basil and coconut oil..

Hi, I'm a 38 years old mom of a 2 yo daughter, working part-time. I had a wonderful and very active pregnancy and ended up thinner than I was before but unfortunately then my thyroid started playing up and now I have a couple ;-) of pounds to lose. Feel free to add me if you want.
-
Not really. I have been diagnosed based on a scan. My antibodies levels are within normal range.
-
Thermos Intak. BPA free and leak-proof. Love it.
-
I have Hashimoto's ( diagnosed based on an ultrasound, my antibodies are normal ) - please feel free to add me as a friend. I take L-Thyroxine and struggle with losing weight and brain fog.

Peanut butter!
-
Try whey protein isolate powder. Can be mixed into almost anything - porridge, shakes, soups etc.

Hm, I'm definitely going to watch this thread. I was diagnosed hypo in 2009 or so, but lately a new endo decided it was Hashi's, based on my thyroid scan only ( my antibodies are within a normal range - and have always been ). My understanding is that you can't cure Hashi's but a good anti-inflammatory diet can help you…
