Hi! I'm Gloria and addicted to the show! I want to be on Team Glenn & Maggie. This should be a fun challenge! Excited to start.

Thanks everyone!

You are amazing and inspiring and awesome. Congratulations!!!!!!!

Like you I enjoy seeing the progress my body makes from class to class. It also the only time I have ever experienced such serene focus. I love that you are forced to focus, not talk, no distractions for 90 tough, hot minutes. Usually after camel pose I start to struggle and during spine twisting pose I am cursing myself.…

I really want to do my first 60 day challenge starting at my studio on 1/15!!!! I am loving the floor series since healing from a broken ankle, so I am working on gaining depth in camel pose as well as working on lower back strength and getting my legs higher in full locust pose.

I gained 8. THERE, I said it.
-
You look great and SOOOOO happy!

How is your head to knee with stretching on the floor series? Those postures are intertwined. Since you mentioned that you can barely reach your foot while standing do you mean stretching it outward or grabbing it in front of you? My suggestion is stretch harder in the floor head to knee posture. You'll get that…

I went to class tonight, have this same challenge and my teacher told me it's a lack of knee flexibility. She suggested sitting as low as possible and breathing into it to get a deeper stretch. She said it can take months to gain this flexibility. Patience and practice.

I use my gym's dry sauna almost every time I go, so about 6 times a week. I stay in for 15 minutes, sometimes 20-25 if I have time. I focus on stretching while I'm in there. The benefits I've seen is that it helps me be less sore. It purges toxins from your body. It helps get rid of excess water weight (I have issues with…

I'm in my first month. I was addicted right from the start and going 6 days a week until I started retaining a lot of water. I now go 3-4 times a week.

I wear my HR monitor to class and burn between 450-550. Sometimes I have to lay in savasna a lot, other times I am able to do every posture.

I take Zumba and I have 2 instructors that I love. That being said, when a sub comes in and I'm not feeling the routine or not burning enough calories I will leave. I am at the gym to burn calories first, so I will choose whatever contributes to that. I'm friends with one of my instructors and she does not take it…

1. During Body Combat I punched myself in the forehead. 2. In the sauna I left a very detailed imprint of my sweaty bum on the sauna seat.

I started my weight loss journey at 340lbs and started MFP at 285. I'm now 222. You can do this, it just takes time.

I like to slice red bell peppers and dip it into Sabra red bell pepper hummus! Delicious!!!
-
It would start out by skipping breakfast and then eating the unhealthy snacks at work, like Famous Amos cookies, muffins and the milky way coffee with sugar and cream. For lunch usually mexican food or chinese, with extras like eggrolls, nachos, or some kind of side item. Afternoon snacks of starbucks frapp's and cake pops…

OMG! You look amazing! Such an inspiration!!!!

I went to a running store and got fitted. I was 285 at the time and the ones that worked the best for me (and still work 53lbs lighter) were Brooks Dyad 7. I got them 1 size up and in wide width. They are really great and provide support without being too rigid and just enough cushioning without being mushy.

High quality, nutty nutrition bars such as Kind bars are great. They're nutritious and low in sodium. You could also pickup fresh juiced fruits and vegetables from most grocery stores. Protein powder does not need refrigeration so you can make quick protein drinks. Check the nutritional information at fast food places…

Jay Robb Whey Protein Powder has 150mg of sodium per scoop. You can easily have 3 servings for 450 mg of sodium and 75 mg of protein and log your other calories around that. Nuts are a good source of protein but most are salted. Lookout for raw nuts which usually have zero to minimal sodium. I also have issues with sodium…

I'm 5'2, 235lbs. I usually average about 500-600 for an hour of Zumba. I keep it lower intensity. I log exactly what my Polar HR monitor says and walk in place during "breaks".

Great post! Like you I had an awesome first month (25lb loss) but I was also starting at 285lbs on a 5'2 frame. Great reminder to focus on our successes and realign our expectations to something more realistic. This is exactly the kind of mindset that will get me to 6 months. Congrats on your success!

Wonderful transformation! Really inspiring. Great job you look amazing!

Bumping this quote for the awesome calculator. Really impressive.

Me too! In the front and back and I hate them. In addition to lots of lunges, my trainer told me to do the stair climber and jog/run.
-
My faves are optimum nutrition platinum hydro whey, 2 carbs, 30 protein. Jay Robb whey protein, 1 carb, 24 protein.
-
I use 2 different ones: Optimum Nutrition platinum hydro whey. 2 carbs, 30g protein. Isopure low carb. 3 carbs, 50g of protein. I usually only take 1 scoop, making it 1.5 carbs per serving. Both are fast acting proteins for post workout. I think the platinum hydro whey tastes a lot better and I mix mine with less water for…

@nataliescalories - how fancy!!!! My worst cravings are chips and salsa and pho (vietnamese soup drenched in 1/2 a bottle of sriacha)
