Omg I needed to see this! I binged on pb sunday and last saturday also! This week I've decided to add it in my diet everyday. (Hopefully a tablespoon and a half will satisfy me enough to not binge on it!) Thank you for this!

Sadly i can say a single day of binging does affect the way i look in the mirror for the next 2 days. I know its only water weight and bloating but its so discouraging. Sorry off topic, but i just had a huge binge on wed and am trying to be patient and let time pass to where i wont be bloated anymore!

Bahahaha so so true about blaming the dryer! You gotta be careful about which clothes you choose as your test clothes. Make sure they're not jeans because even if they're not "stretchy jeans" they loosen up every time you put them on. I think it's best to go with suit type pants/dresses that you know don't stretch or "give"

I don't have cake, ice cream, steak, pizza, and burgers everyday from my favorite restaurants! But I will allow a couple of cookies and some chocolate everyday.

Is that the body fat % calipers? I thought you have to pinch at the arms, tummy and back? Where did you get yours?

omg this right here! Have you read that book Brain Over Binge? Basically explains that bingers have the animal side of the brain that takes over the human part and we don't have the control to listen to our human side when the binge happens. I highly recommend it to anyone that is struggling with BED!

Bump because this thread makes me feel better and that everyone has gone through these binge type situations! Thanks everyone for sharing. I don't remember my worst binges because I never log. But I'm guessing they were around 6,000 for the day! Probably on thanksgiving.

I posted a topic based on this pretty much. And for me YES...I think calorie counting has caused the black or white "all or nothing" mentality for me and that's why I'm trying my hardest not to log. Keep a photo of yourself as a small kid or baby and look at it everytime you catch yourself being mean or shameful towards yourself. Would you really treat that small kid/baby (yourself) that way? Hi! I've heard of topomax only because of the book Brain Over Binge. Have you read it? It only helped her for a small period of time. But I would highly recommend this book.
