Starter Fries or Tater Tots?

I should but don't log Dentyne Ice and gummy vitamins. I don't bother logging anything that has "zero" calories marked on the package: hot sauce, diet soda & iced tea...

The general rule is pregnant women need 300 extra calories per day. So, I think it *is* a good idea to track your calories on here to start a more healthy lifestyle. You should see how many calories it gives you if you set it to maintain your current weight, and then add 300 to that (maybe you don't have to add a full 300…

My kids LOVE the new chocolate hazelnut uncrustables (sounds disgusting to me). I usually pack a few healthy snacks (grapes, fresh berries or raisins) and low-fat chocolate milk (hershey's or Nesquick) and a treat like fruit snacks or cookies. Sometimes I make sandwiches or wraps for my daughter, but my son pretty much…

I never liked to eat breakfast as a kid or teenager. My mom used to make me drink a Carnation Instant Breakfast every morning (starting in about 4th or 5th grade). Maybe something like that or just a yogurt. 6 hours is a long time to go without any food to start off the day. She might be super-hungry by lunch and over-eat.

I take benadryl at night (I saw another poster mention that as well). I sometimes will drink a beer, but I account for it and budget my calories accordingly. Best of luck!

That's a great idea. I use olive oil in place of butter on pasta, but I never thought of refrigerating it and using in on toast that way! On toast, sometimes, I'll use a little bit of reduced fat shredded cheese and melt it on or just hot sauce (I like spicy).

I also don't log when I travel (usually twice per year). It's partially that I don't want to pay for wifi and partly that to truly relax/vacation does not involve me over thinking every food choice I make. I easily make up for any over-indulging the week or two following my vacation!

I still eat bread. I mostly use English Muffins (120 calories); Tumaros Low-Carb Wraps (60 calories each and a GOOD size); Lately I've been using a lot of those 100 calorie sandwich thins -- I think they're Arnolds brand. I saw someone else mentioned this idea, but I often use a whole grain brown rice and add chicken,…

Tumaro's makes super low-cal tortillas (60 calories). I use those often -- I can have two wraps for lunch loaded with veggies and meat. I also like rice and quinoa. I'll make bowls with a 200-ish serving of rice and add veggies, meat, low-fat cheese, hot sauce, etc. Makes a yummy lunch or dinner!

My friends in college used to say I looked like James Vanderbeek. Not a compliment for a girl to get!!! I think it might be because I had no bangs and a high forehead maybe??

I'm not sure that's accurate anyway. My friend started a 20 carb/day diet on 1/1. I started a low-cal diet on the same day. She has lost 8 lbs. and I've lost 22 lbs. Maybe I'm just better at sticking to my diet? Not sure, but I thought until I read this post that I just chose a better diet.
