Thanks Patttience, I really into this for the long haul. Honestly this is the most fun I have ever had. It is a little odd but I like measuring my food, counting the calories and hitting the gym. I use measuring cups and spoons for everything but meat and whole fruits and veg. I'm not naturally thin but the game plan is…

Thank you SueInAz! I think you're right. I took my measurements last Wednesday: under bust 30", waist 28", hip 36", bicep 10", lower stomach 34", thighs left 19 1/2" right 20", calf 14 1/2". I've really been thinking about this a lot. I'll take them again today and see if there is any difference.

Thanks! I need a food scale. I don't care about my weight as much as how I look so I'll keep working at it.

tracymayo1, I recalculated with myfitnesspal and a couple other sites several times. I know I can't spot reduce but the belly is the last place to go for me. I can see my ribs and spine when I stretch, I'm kind of boney everywhere else. Do you think I should drop my calories again? I'm eating to lose half a pound a week…

I think fresh baked bread is the best thing in the world. In all seriousness ndj1979 is right.

So many things added up to make me get my butt in gear. A year ago I look at a picture of myself and was shocked at how big I was. I told myself that I needed to get thinner and started Myfitnesspal. I logged in for all of four days, then went back to sitting around and eating junk. Eleven months later I needed a belt and…

I take children's complete multivitamins. This sounds a little odd but they have all the same vitamins and minerals as most adult multivitamins and they are way cheaper. Before I wrote this I looked up a popular men's multivitamin and the nutritional facts said it had 200% of some things. I don't think people really need…

MizCrys, beans are great for protein but they have to be paired with a whole grain, like rice, to form a complete protein. Nuts like almonds great for protein. Vegan diets are tricky to balance. I wish you all the best

I was a vegetarian a few years ago and recently I stopped eating meat again. I eat fish, eggs and dairy. If your going to cut out meat take it slow and cut pork and red meat first. Once you're comfortable with that take out poultry. The hardest part is family dinners because you can't really expect people to cater to you.…

I don't like cheat days. They throw me off from the habit I'm trying to build. If I really want something I try to work it in to my day. I think everyone does a little cheating here and there, such as when a craving hits or when I can't avoid eating unhealthy things. So, putting a whole day to "cheating" seems weird to me.
