i consider all the yoga and healthy diet a reward to my body for staying healthy through the times i wasn't particularly good to it. i am giving myself forgiveness and patience and have finally learned to quit the nasty negative self talk that kept me from making these lifestyle changes up until this point. that's all the…

you look amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats.

i'm pretty boring - only water, almond milk in my cereal and one cup of black coffee every morning.

i'm at 148 right now and aiming for 135. sure i could get myself down to 120 but ya know what, life is short - i'd rather eat an ice cream cone with my nieces or skip a workout to lay in the park on a beautiful afternoon with my husband and dogs. i want to be strong and fit and healthy and i know that for myself, the only…

you do look great. maybe you're still angry with him and all the other people that bullied you and not quite ready to forgive them all and move on....and that's okay! just keep in mind that holding onto that negative energy those people unfairly put onto you years ago isn't going to help you continue to grow. i work on…

dang girl! you look amazing! such an inspiration.
-
maybe try yoga?
-
a friend of mine said "and you just keep getting skinnier" as she was walking past me this morning. made my day!
-
awesome. keep it up! i was in a similar place and started with dvds at home. now i go to hot vinyasa yoga classes five days a week. it's changed my body entirely. feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!
-
so inspiring, thanks! my start weight and goal are exactly the same as yours - it's wonderful and motivating to see your journey and that you accomplished your goals! congrats! i hope you have a wonderful wedding and honeymoon!!!!!

i throw a tablespoon into yogurt and eat that. or a teaspoon onto a salad. or in stir frys. my husband throws them into just about anything. they don't have much flavor but they soak up any liquid they're with and turn gelatinous - hence the "pudding" recipes.

yesss!!! your smile and the light in your face in the last photo is the most beautiful part! you look AMAZING! good work woman!

fun workout clothes. no boring black yoga pants for this girl. wild, wacky prints all the way.

i have barely lost any pounds at all but am down two sizes, am WAY stronger, feel healthier, have more energy, sleep better etc. etc. trust me, i get it - i wish the scale would reflect all those changes too but it just doesn't and part of the journey to health and wellness is shifting your perspective to other measures of…

whoa! congrats - i really like how you said that you're not a runner but you are a cyclist. finding what works for each of us as in individual is so important but maintaining that motivation through the trial and error period can be SO challenging. you're an inspiration!
-
congratulations - you look so beautiful and happy! i love the new look too!!!

20-25lbs. slow and steady....

CW: 155 GW: 130 i'm consistently exercising for the first time in my adult life so i'm gonna just keep at it and see what happens. i figure if i'm eating well and exercising, the rest will take care of itself in time.

life-long veg here too. agreed that vegetarian does not automatically equal healthy or weight loss strategy. three things i saw in previous comments i want to throw my two cents in on: 1. food poisoning can happen from vegetables as well. it isn't just meat that can make you sick! 2. in my experience restaurants aren't…

i took it for migraines for a while as well and had all the same wacky cognitive side effects - couldn't figure out which way to turn my steering wheel to make my car turn around a corner, not being able to come up with specific words, not knowing how to spell my own name, being confused by a keyboard's letters not being…

i'm in my last semester of full-time grad school and three years of sitting in class and doing homework did the same thing to me. i was never overweight when i had a desk job, probably because i was so bored by it i was always wandering around the building away from my desk! but seriously - i know what you're talking…

i took a poll at my hot yoga class tonight. of the 14 people i asked, nobody was wearing underwear. i wasn't either so 15-0 for team commando.
-
it also makes life a lot more fun.
-
for the record, i never wear underwear. haven't since high school. i do hot yoga 3-4x a week and have never had any "health" issues. is possible to live an underwear free life AND have a healthy crotch! funny topic.

i do almost exclusively body weight exercise - hot vinyasa flow yoga and barre fitness classes...the only equipment other than a yoga mat is in the barre classes and that's just 5lb weights, a small exercise ball and a resistance band. maybe get yourself some dvds. i haven't lost a ton of lbs but i've gotten much stronger…

well said. great advice!

be proud of yourself for speaking up on here. continue taking baby steps to participate in healthy, open dialogs with supportive people such as you've created here until you're ready to take your next step. go slowly. be kind to yourself.

grad school.

sometimes it's hard for people when someone close to them is changing and they're not ready to or have no interest in change. so they hold onto old habits or "sabotage" out of fear. be kind to him.

i use my juicer all the time but not for meal replacement or on a fast. my husband love fresh citrus juice with breakfast and we find a juicer a great way to use up all our random odds and ends produce that's left after cooking meals. and we have two young nieces we take care of quite often who i'd rather serve fresh juice…
