  • Not a new mom - mine are 6 and 8 - but I gained 50 lbs from an illness last year (and I was already overweight). I really hope yo get back down to 200 by the end of the year, which is 50 lbs for me. I started walking my dog every day about 1.5 -2 miles, but I take some meds that keep me up too late and I binge when I am…
  • I have been talking with my shrink about my weight issues (among other things) and she suggested adding Contrave to my daily Trintellix. So, I may be adding it to my regimen in late April. SW 246 (highest ever for me 🙁) GW 155.
  • Sorry I am late - my kids and my husband have been really sick with a stomach bug since Thursday. MarilynTC Week 1 PW 240.0 CW 240.8
  • I'm a 45 year old mom of two boys (5 & 8) and struggle with major depressive disorder. All last year, I had horrible leg ulcers (possibly vasculitis, but my doctors are not all in agreement) and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I gained 50 lbs being basically bed-ridden, and an emotional eater. I have started and…
  • I am just getting started (again, for about the tenth time 😉) and am focusing on logging everything I eat, even when I go way over my calorie goals. I am trying to add more fruit and veggies instead of other snacks (with mixed results - sometimes, I go overboard with the cheddar cheese and the wine), and trying to get in a…
  • OP, does your coffee have to be sweetened? I started from 3 @ 12 oz. mugs of coffee with a couple of ounces of 2% milk, so I cut that back to 2 mugs and now have only 1 most days (but dont have any maybe 2 days a week).
  • I agree with the others who said to make the first goal to log everything. I have always been good for a week or so, then have a high calorie day and tell myself I blew it, and from then on my logging gets lazy. I decided to just keep logging no matter if I go way over one day. Who knows except for me, and it isn't a…
  • I quit by switching to vaping and cutting down on the nicotine gradually. Gave up the vape completely when a doctor told me to completely quit nicotine if I wanted to heal properly after a horrible skin affliction.
  • I'm in Anne Arundel!
  • I would like to join. I am dealing with horrible leg sores (have been for almost the entire year) and have gained far too much weight from eating my emotions. I was hoping to lose 30 lbs by now in 2018; instead, I have gained 20.
  • I stay away from peanut butter. I used to binge on it. Unfortunately, my older son will only eat peanut butter sandwiches for lunch, so we always have it in the house but I abstain bc I can't control myself.
  • I do either salads with tuna packets or hard boiled eggs, or a turkey breast sandwich on Dave's Killer Bread - the thin slice version - with a bit of mayo. I grab a piece of fruit with the latter.
  • No, and this question and some responses made me check my fish oil. It is only 5 calories, and my multi and calcium have no calories, so I am not going to start now - too negligible.
  • Even on the high end, I am finding only about 60-70 calories for Vietnamese spring rolls (not fried).
  • Yeah, my other half can eat a lot of junk food and barely gain an ounce, but I have to avoid that carp like the plague because every chip or cookie shows up on the scale.
  • Put in fresh batteries, choose one permanent location for the scale, and then you should able to track lbs lost. I found d my scale showed me as 3 lbs lower in the guest room, but it is more convenient to keep the scale in my bedroom., so that is where it stays. I really just want to see lbs lost, the actual weight is not…
  • I mix my milk & Click Mocha in a shaker, then pour in the hot coffee. Drink a little, then add more hot coffee. I found it got lumpy if I mixed it directly into the hot coffee.
  • I just bought the peaches & cream one last week and tried it as a snack last Friday - and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty tasty!
  • During the week: Click Mocha, Califa Toasted Coconut Almond milk, and cold coffee. Weekends: 2 eggs schedule scrambled with veggies (tomatoes, onions, peppers, whatever is in the crisper drawer or hanging baskets) and a sprinkle of cheese. Maybe a couple of low fat turkey sausages, too.
  • I am planning to reward myself with a full-on spa day once I drop 25 lbs - getting the works with one of my BFFs. When I reach my final goal weight, I am getting another tattoo. A Hawaiian honu maybe with a plumeria design on its shell. I have not decided on any other intermediate rewards, but they will likely be…
  • I hit NY&Co. with a sale or coupon, and bought 2 pairs of their pants - one semi-stretch button &zipper fly and one more stretchy pull-on. I need "better" pants as an attorney and don't have time to hit thrift stores working full time, dealing with my RA diagnosis (and the billion and one Dr pats for that and my…
  • I have major depression disorder and it got easier to avoid that cycle for me once I was on the right med (for me, Trintellix). I don't really have days where I get quite as low anymore. But I also have a notebook with inspirational messages in it that I turn to when I need a boost. OK, my husband brings the notebook to me…
  • I restarted on a Tuesday. And have just made myself log it all, every day , as I am making my meals. I figure that it takes 21 days to establish a habit, and the day on which you start doesn't really matter. Just bite the bullet and do it. Even if you end up exceeding your calorie goal that day. At least you will be down…
  • Hi, I am Marilyn and was diagnosed with RA last week after battling with horrible sores on my legs (which turned out to be rheumatoid facilities). I am so new to all of this - I was surprised with the diagnosis bc I wasn't necessarily experiencing a lot of joint pain. I am taking methotrexate shots once a week, and the Dr…
  • I have a drink or two every day but I am careful to measure the alcohol and log it. I buy flavored vodka, like Absolut Mango or Citrus, and mix it with seltzer (zero calories and no sugar substitute kind). I use a calibrated shot glass to measure out the booze, or else I would be far too heavy-handed with the pour. I…
  • Quinoa, kale (raw and as "chips"), chia seeds, nutritional yeast, and Arctic Zero. And I like both cauliflower "rice" and regular cauliflower, so I would say to give the riced stuff a try. If you don't like it, you are not out too much money.
  • I echo what some others have said - starting now is a good idea. I started back up a couple of weeks ago (the week before Halloween) and it has really helped me keep out of my kids' Halloween hauls for the most part (too many generous neighbors gave Reeses cups!) But getting back on track has forced me to plan a sensible…
  • I used to do it every day, but now I do it Tuesdays and Fridays only. Well, unless I get a reading that seems wildly inaccurate, like on Tuesday my weight was up 4 lbs from the previous Friday, so I weighed myself again on Wednesday and was a half pound down below Friday's weight.
  • That Juice Plus shakes will not only cause me to shed all of my unwanted weight, but will also cure my rosacea and the gummies will cure my son's ADHD. from a new neighbor who sells the Juice Plus stuff and is a true believer (I am not getting into it with her how that crap is just overpriced vitamins and supplements you…
