  • Do the newspaper thing. Stuff NP into them. In an hour change it out until you notice the amount being absorbed taper off. Then let them air dry in a warm place. As said, avoid major heat sources. K
  • Probably an NSV that hasn't been said before... I carry a concealed pistol sometimes. Since picking up an extra 10 lbs, I've had to wear my holster outside of my waist band. Now that I've dropped the weight, I can keep it in-waist-band! I haven't measured, but most say that a concealed pistol/holster will add almost 2…
  • My wife and I did just about any veggie that we normally ate. Broccoli, squash, potato, whatever! When my son needed more calories we threw in butter! K
  • Back when I was running, I bought a set of UnderArmour cold weather tights. I wear those w/ a pair of running shorts, a long sleave tee-shirt, an ear band, and light cotton gardening gloves. Its a little chilly when you first start, but 1/4 mile in I'm usually warmed up and sweating by the end of the run! K
  • I wouldn't say its a breeze, but its doable! I'm not a runner, trained for about a month and a half and got up to 10 miles. I started from a pretty good base from lifting and calestetics (sp?). I finished the race in about 1:55, but miles 11-12 were a nightmare. I was pulled through by a VERY helpful woman who chatted me…
  • http://www.kemnitzcandies.com/ Kimnitz is my hometown candy shop. BEST DARK CHOCOLATE EVER!! All handmade, family owned business. I usually limit myself to 1 or 2 pcs a week now. However, 20 years ago when my then girlfriend (now wife) worked there I ate a LOT! K
  • That's what Iv'e been doing for the last month, and I'm VERY happy w/ the results so far! Start w/ just the bar to make sure your form is perfect, and go from there. I did about two weeks of strict form w/ very low weight, then started piling on the pounds to where I'm at now. Squating nearly 20lb more than my body weight,…
  • Mmm...Skyline!! Congrats! K
  • As a guy, think of how I felt getting in there the first time and working out w/ the 45lb bar. Nancy weights indeed! Just do it! K
  • +1! I'm doing stronglifts 5x5, and its working great. Add 5-10 lb every time you do the lift (ie 45lb squats on Monday, 50lb on Wednesday, 5 sets of 5 reps). K
  • I'm a guy, but I'll respond! I've yet to see a woman in the squat rack at the gym I belong to, but there's no reason I shouldn't! Heavy lifting is different for you than for me, or for the long term lifter. I've never been a body-builder or particularly athlethic for that matter, but I've (for the second time) started…
  • Stay at home mom: Stroller, baby, walk! That's the best way to start. As others have said, if you're interested in the 30day, do as much as you can modified, then the next day do another minute with better form. You'll get there. I'm working out w/ free weights in the gym. Dumpy, white guy pushing the bar w/ no weights…
  • I can slam water like its nothing. My wife on the other hand can't. She's taken to carrying around a large cup with a straw. She claims that she drinks WAY more through a straw than she does if she's just drinking. K
  • Check out their blackened chicken salad. No dressing. Go Wings!! K
  • I don't have a specific goal. I think for the weightloss challenge I said that I wanted to get into the "normal" BMI range from slightly over now, and drop body fat below 18%. (this according to the fancy scale at Powerhouse gym!) Lose the love handles and general fitness. K
  • DAMN!! Congrats! K
  • Its an absolute blast! http://skyzone.com/ I can jump pretty solid for like 10 minutes, then need a 3-5 min break before hitting it again. I haven't done cardio in awhile, so I felt like I was going to have a heart-attack after jumping around and flipping a few times. Fun as hell and the kids love it as much as the adults!…
