Feel free to add me :) Or anyone else...While I am not new to the weight loss journey I am new to MFP and I have plateaued for two months and could use all the encouragement I can get. Good luck to everyone :)

SO awesome :) You go girl....

Thanks for posting sir :) Truer words have never been spoken. I was very reluctant to join the local Y for that reason, but overcame that fear a month ago and started going daily. Yesterday the old fears reared their ugly head when I was trying to talk myself into the Zumba class and a new Spartacus circuit training class.…

I'm new to the group and new to the Elliptical but so love the workout I get when I am on it. I too get different caloric counts from MFP and from the YMCA machines. I agree with everyone else in that the calories will vary according to your age, weight, height, HR, etc. I think the numbers are immaterial as they are…

I purchased my current motorcycle on Craigslist. It's been one and only purchase and I have nothing but high praise for the deal I got!

Do you have a Kohl's near you?

OH yeah drinking and driving isn't cool. They should embrace the idea of having a DD PLUS the fun you have of watching them act drunk and take pictures. Someone has to be sober enough to post them on Facebook :P

Welcome :) And good luck on your journey! What stands out to me that while you gained 30 pounds back, you KEPT 20 off! Remember that and never give up. You will find a great bunch of people here. Add me if you choose.

I was a DD at my heaviest and only went to a D after 80 pounds gone :)
-
That is awesome!! I have been on the same plateau for 2 months and upped my calories the other day and changed my workout regimen. Are you doing protein shakes or just eating more protein?

OH in addition to Sons of Anarchy, I have been a diehard Grey's fan since it first aired on a Sunday night behind Desperate Housewives back in 2005 as a mid season replacement.

I am SO with you on SOA obsessed!! I am trying to get caught up with The Walking Dead as it's my son's favorite show!!

My son was home from school due to ice and spent the day with him watching movies. Now the Y is closed and can't work out but I don't regret it. Days like this are priceless :) I might just make this my skip day instead of Sunday as a rest day. I can always hit the treadmill if I choose to.

The Definition of Failure is not Failing but Giving Up when you have Failed… You are still trying and that is all that should matter to him and 68 pounds is a HUGE accomplishment. HUGE. Believe in yourself...and never give up :)

HI Ann :) Welcome to the site. I have been on it since early January but really utilizing it in the last week. I have thoroughly enjoyed the feedback, the motivation, the encouragement, and everything else I have gleaned from this site. Good luck. Feel free to friend me if you choose.

I'm on daily and sent you a friends request :) I could use more motivational friends as well. Good luck to everyone!

Amazon I'm with you! Between knee surgery, arthritis, and my lupus I'm proud of myself. Started week 8 yesterday but going to repeat. 28 minutes was too hard I walked for a minute in between twice. Kudos to everyone!

Welcome :) Welcome :) All of us are in the same boat so good luck to you. Ditto what others have said. Add if you choose. We are all here to encourage and motivate one another!

I'm with Jessie, I am pretty slow 4.4/4.5 mile when doing my pacing for the running part. I did wk8d1 tonight but I think I might repeat it as I stopped and walked for 2 minutes twice but I had a 2 hour workout in the gym earlier so it might have something to do with that but still want to make sure I can run those 28…

I make these all the time and add the mini chocolate chips. They are much better than the regular size! They are yummy. Enjoy :)

I would think it has a lot to do with her level of activity, her health, and her desire. I'm 50, 195, 5-7, and started the C25K app 7 weeks ago. I am up to running 25 minutes at a time and have done a 5k, 3.1 miles, on the treadmill, without much trouble. Once you determine those things, the answers will come. Good luck to…

Great job :) I start week 8 today. Love this program. Your transition sounds like something I could do as I do treadmill now too. Thanks for the idea!
-
Oooh maybe I should have done that with my ex mother in law years ago....
-
Ditto what Trout and Bluefox said. Get a C25K app and away you go. I was never a runner in my life and started this program on New Years. I start my 8th week tomorrow. I am not fast but I can now say I have become a runner at the age of 50.

You live in some beautiful country up there in Oregon. I plan on taking a motorcycle trip out west and head up the PCH to Oregon and Washington. I live in Lynchburg, Va myself but grew up in NY :)

I remember the movie Short Circuit and one of the robots, number 5 I believe, yelling disassemble when they were trying to shut him off. LOL I would've had thought it was a word as well...
