  • Anyone know how necessary the 1 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso is? I'm not really a coffee fan and would prefer not to buy a whole box of instant coffee for one recipe.
  • I've been a vegetarian for 15 years and am currently focusing on getting 100+grams of protein per day. Anyone can feel free to add me!
  • I made this recipe last week from Skinnytaste.com, except I used broccoli instead of spinach, it was so good: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/01/baked-spaghetti-squash-and-cheese.html Skinnytaste also has a few other recipes for spaghetti squash as well.
  • I've been vegetarian for 14 years. I love to look at fellow veg's diaries for ideas, especially lately since I've been trying to go protein heavy! Anyone feel free to add me!
  • I've got about 10 I would like to lose, but will be happy with my current weight as long as I get the bf% down. I would love more supportive friends!
  • I'll jump on the train here. I'll be 29 this weekend and am a single professional. Dating has picked up a little recently but not sure where its going. I would love more active friends on here. I have a bunch of "pals' but no one ever comments except a couple people.
  • My favorite site for "diet" food is skinnytaste.com, love everything I've ever tried there and they have a great vegetarian section. This MFP thread has a LOT of links to other recipe sites, both vegan and vegetarian: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/683419-websites-like-skinny-taste
  • Sent you a request! I can use some more motivational friends myself! Most of mine dont comment anymore :ohwell:
  • Sending you a request now, I can always use new, motivating friends!
  • I do want to say good luck to you with your transition! It might be easier to take the step to vegetarian first and then step on to vegan once you have adjusted to that. You are right about it being a hot topic here, as many people here (and in the "real" world) like to tell you what you should do with your own body -…
  • Do you have more than one litter box? "They" say to have one per cat, since they don't like the smells associated with another cat's business. Why exactly are you locking him up at night? According to Jaxson Gallaxy from "My Cat from Hell" on Animal Planet, this can create anxiety and does not foster a feeling of…
  • Not yet. I've had to restart to week 1 for a variety of reasons, mostly because I was sick for about 2 weeks. So now I'm back on schedule and start week 2 again today. I don't plan to take any more photos until maybe day 45 and then again at the end.
  • I've been on it a few weeks and I absolutely love it! My body seems to really respond to it. My goal was not neccessarily weight loss but strengthening and tightening up, but I have lost a few pounds and my biceps are really starting to come in  ! I love that its MMA inspired, the punching and striking really keep…
  • My pushups are definitely better. I started out doing all knee pushups and am up to about half the dvd on my toes now (3 weeks in). Some of the variations are much harder on your toes (like the knee ups) so those are the ones I keep on my knees. It does get better! Even Mike says that you have to do whats right for you and…
  • I'm a few weeks in myself, but have restarted to week 1 due to sickness. Like MzTate81, my HRM says I burn anywhere between 300-550 calories depending on whether its more cardio based or more strength based. I'm 5'7" and 130. You could try logging it under circuit training?
  • Just sent you a request! I've been veg for 14 years. I only have one other veg friend here, so more would be great!
  • Just wanted to say hi as a fellow Jacksonvillian!
  • There are some GREAT recipes on the manufacturer's website: bellplantation.com I've tried a few and loved every one of them!
  • Mine is supposed to be coming in the mail today! Can't wait to start my first workout when I get home from work! I use a HRM to log my exercise calories, but I suppose you could use "Circuit Training" in the index?
  • It is per quarter cup UNcooked. That should make about 3/4 to 1 cup of quinoa, depending (probably closer to 3/4).
  • 1 ounce actually equals 2 tablespoons I have an entire drawer full of food, be it snacks or lunch possibilities (all healthy of course!) My water bottle actually holds an entire 64 ounces, so I just make sure I have drained that by the end of the day. I also keep a measuring cup and a tablespoon measure in my food drawer…
  • I would like some more motivational friends myself! I have quite a few "friends" but only a handful that actually comment. I'm 28 and currently 133 at 5'7". I've lost about 45 pounds overall, with the last 15 done here on MFP. I'm currently focusing on strengthening/toning but wouldnt mind losing a few more pounds.…
  • I've heard that washing the strap (take off the transmitter first!) will help with these problems. According to the directions that come with the watch, you are supposed to hand wash it after every workout and throw it in the washing machine after every 5 or so. I was having these problems (jumping to 200+ then to 0) until…
  • I've been a vegetarian for 14 years. Anyone can feel free to add me if they are active and supportive! Lately I've been trying to cut back on the fake meats (even though they are tasty!) in favor of more natural foods. So I'm constantly trying new recipes!
  • I hated it the first time I tried it. Goes to reason though that since I hate plain greek yogurt that I would hate overnight oats with plain greek yogurt in it! So I started adding flavored greek yogurt and sometimes regular yogurt instead. Some recipes were so so, but I've found a couple that I love. My favorite at the…
  • I'm confused by the weight loss predictor. Where is it getting the current calorie intake from? It tells me my current intake is 2445 calories? My TDEE isn't even that high!
  • Bump, must try but I don't use chocolate protein powder. I have a cookies n'creme flavor and I might add a little unsweetened cocoa powder to it. Thanks!
  • This used to happen to me every time I tried to start a work out program. So I googled it and found out that your body needs to transition into exercise slowly. If you go all out right from the start a lot of people get sick because it is a shock to the body and the immune system is temporarily weakened while it adjusts to…
  • I love having this for dinner with spinach cooked into the egg and a slice of tomato on top! Lots of protein!
