I weigh more than some of my male friends. And I am 5 foot 4. Also, I do belly dance and had some professional pictures taken at the last show. I have lost the curve of my waist completely. I used to have a n hourglass figure but I now have a really thick waist.

I'm 5 foot 4 and my first goal is 150 pounds. I am currently 170 so its enough to make a difference to my health and appearance. Once I am there I will see how I feel. I have no desire to be skinny but I want to be healthy.

I do belly dancing and I am looking forward to performing with a beautiful elegant curve to my waist. I used to have one but it seems to have disappeared!

Thanks guys. I think perhaps I'll do it every 10 pounds or once a month, whatever comes around quicker.

I second that people not saying doesn't mean they haven't noticed. I don't like to mention people's weight because you could unintentionally make someone feel like crap when you meant to compliment them. Also, if you see people often it's hard to notice because its gradual.

Thanks! Doing it by weight rather than time makes sense. Perhaps I'll do it once I've lost 10 pounds.

Wow, well done. I am aiming to lose 20 pounds but I find reading about people who have made huge losses like yours so inspiring.

I think it's a matter of getting yourself into the habit. I've always drunk a lot of water at work so just do it automatically. I still got fat through over eating though so I don't think it's a magic cure to weight gain. I find that drinking herbal tea (particularly lemon and ginger) can help to curb cravings.

I am 32f and find mine grow when I put on weight but don't shrink when I lose weight

I'm 5 foot 4 and 170 pounds. I only started this a couple of days ago and have never dieted before. Please feel free to add me. I am aiming to get down to 150 pounds as a first goal. Ultimately I'd like to be 140 I think but I'll see how I feel at 150.

I put food in in advance as well. If I am not hungry but feel like eating I find having a cup of herbal tea helps. Also, jogging on the spot for 10 mins burns just over 100 calories so if I am nearing my limit and want to eat I do that first.
