I’ve always been hungry on any calorie restriction but I will say I’ve found eating a lot more protein (in the 120g-140g) per day has made a huge difference to me too. It took about 2 weeks to get it right but then my weight has consistently gone down a pound a week. I’m between 1300-1400 calories per day. I’m so much less…

I was hesitant about a personal trainer when I started 2 years ago, very overweight. Reasons I’ve stayed and love it: I like the 1:1 teaching and accountability. She pushes me further than I would push myself She keeps track of what I can and can’t do and helps me grow even 5 seconds at a time She understands my body and…

I totally understand. The first time I did a plank I lasted 5 seconds and cried after. Not sure if it’s in your budget, but a trainer is what really helped me understand what I am capable of. I just started with the three pack at the gym. Other things that have worked for me include starting to walk and having a route for…

I joined a gym ages ago and never went. I finally invested in a personal trainer 9 months ago and have loved it. She will tell me what to do on my own, show me how to do things, etc. you can pay for a couple sessions or more but totally worth the investment. She gives me goals and also tracks my progress for me. And shows…

If you can afford it, working with a personal trainer has been amazing for me. I never really worked out before. She’s been supportive, showed me how and when to push/not push myself, and designed workouts for me when we don’t meet. You can totally do this. Start slow with walking like others suggested too! And know that…

I can totally relate! I travel pretty frequently and for me it’s eating out all three meals and the social part which includes drinking. My tricks: eat the same breakfast every day (usually the protein plate from Starbucks or something easy like that, that I can find no matter what town I’m in); aim for a healthy lunch…

I too love a taco salad for lunch. Costco frozen burrito and I add some veggies and a wholly guacamole. Soup that I make on Sunday. I love to grill chicken and onion kebobs, bring one or two and eat with hummus. Default is ham or egg sandwich. Turkey burger that you can hear in microwave.

Someone else mentioned the website trend weight in another thread. It's helpful to get perspective on those fluctuations at least for me.

I totally understand where you are. I had to up my calories from 1200 and that helped. Drinking coffee helps me a lot to suppress hunger plus I love coffee. I've found some foods really make me not hungry like dairy or grapes or sauerkraut so I load up on those when needed. It took some experimentation to figure out what…

i travel a lot too and here are my ways to cope (and make sure the food is accessible) gas stations: they always have cheese sticks and unsweetened ice tea. i need my cheese & caffeine. :) fat free fig newtons are good. eggs are sometimes an option too. breakfast or lunch options: protein plate from starbucks is great and…
