Twice as good, I love it!

Are we starting a new thread for the combined team 7&9?
-
It's a likely combination of weights, yoga, and aggressive spacebar-ing that set the thumb off. Doc says 2-4 weeks splinted if I behave. So I am going to enjoy the running and walking for a while. It's been July-like weather in Seattle lately, so easy to find reasons to go tool around.
-
Wow! Amazing changes. Glad your doc is cheering you on and offering options!
-
I do the same thing that you do, trying to keep up with the trainer. I can't keep up the whole time, but it adds up over time. A 6 sec improvement is huge! So awesome.

I am in a thumb splint this week due to a tendon issue, but I got through the kettlebell challenge using a tiny weight. I will have to go back and do it later with something more challenging.

Things I have already gained from this challenge: 1. Logging daily, even the imperfect days 2. Learning how motivating a team/community can be 3. Increasing my activity level/trying new things Two things I would like to achieve by the end of this challenge: 1. Get below 150 only 2lbs to go :) 2. Improve consistency with…

Congrats on the loss! Those look like good goals.

Pickles (beans, carrots, asparagus, etc) are my go-to all-day-gaming-session snacking choice. It's more satisfying than plain crudites, but doesn't do much damage to the calorie budget. It can wreak havoc with your salt levels, but it is short term. :) Hope you have a great weekend.

The fruits of hard labor! Congratulations.

Nice work on the 15!

I am having an issue with a tendon or something in my non-dominant hand. I can barely grip a coffee cup, so weights are out this week. So I have been running... and it has been awesome. I have been doing the jog 30sec / run 20sec / sprint 10sec intervals for a while slowly increasing my pace for run and sprint. Today I was…

We did great last week, only ~100 minutes short of what we did the first week with fewer participants. That is a big accomplishment, even if the the stretch goal was too much. Kudos to everyone who pushed it!

I didn't realize that belly dancing was such sweaty work.
-
You are doing an amazing job!
-
That is a good feeling! Nice work.

I like the stairs challenge. I work on 7th floor and walk up and down 2-3 times a day. Plus my boss is on the 4th floor, so I am up and down to see him a couple of times a day too. Now I just have to remember to keep track of flights and track it at exercise minutes--I normally don't track activities except workouts and…

Way to go!

Glad you're back. <3

Great job!

Yikes. 604 is a 40% increase from what I did last week. I will aim to do more than last week, but I am not sure I can do that much.
-
Tomatoes! Not the ones you can get at the supermarket now, but the luscious, late summer harvest kinds. Salty, sweet, and/or tangy, I love them all.
-
Grats on the pants! I am looking forward to that soon.
-
Great progress!
-
Sounds like a rough patch. I am glad mom is doing better and that you are hanging in there.
-
Wow, kudos for resetting and moving forward. That is tough to do when you are struggling and exhausted. It sounds like you did exactly what your body needed.
-
Monster session at the gym followed by a rest day sounds awesome. Great progress in those pics. Very inspiring!

Congrats on the new job!
