I am also Italian but we eat more than pasta. I do love my pasta but I eat so many other things lots of fresh veggies, roasted chicken, Polenta, risotto. I eat what I want and still have lost weight. I would cook the same for both of you but also add some "snack foods" for him like almonds, apple, cheese and so on his diet will be dense enough for him but healthy and you are not playing short order cook.

There are only a few places in the US that can get the yummy tasting Golden syrup. Amazon is one of them and I am not sure what the equvlent would be. I am not sure there is one really.

I always have a snack in the evening. I plan for it. Sometimes it may be popcorn, cereal or crackers and milk. I sleep better with something small on my stomach. I don't eat a full meal late but not because of weight because I just don't like to eat heavy late but that is just me.

I use honey to make my granola and I have used maple syrup but prefer honey cheaper and stronger flavor.

gluten is a protein, protein is important in over all health if you are a vegan or vegetarian Setain (sp) is a good source of protein. So yes it can be healthy.

I use 90/10 beef and not that crazy about buns but when I have a bun I like a Kaiser roll and cut a slice out from the center. The other roll I use is a crusty ciabatta with some of the center removed.

it is hard to accurately do your own measurements and if you measure in different place each time you can get a different measurement. an inch up or down can change you measurement. But the important thing is the shorts are now loose and that is what counts way to go!

Slow is the way to go. Congratulations and keep it up. I am 30 pounds lighter than I was 18 months ago it was not fast but it still counts.

Cheetos's, and salty type corn chip and potato chips with dip. I use to have issues with ice cream but having my gall bladder removed seemed to fix that problem because now ice cream hates me.

I don't think it matters as long as you do it consistently. I measure in CUPS many foods I weigh others but the ones I weigh I always weigh and the ones I measure I always measure. it works for my family

I got a mile in before 10:30 this morning. I had to walk across our hospital campus a long haul so I tried to make it a fast pace.

I (when I was younger) would love to eat breakfast after being out drinking neither breakfast nor dinner but darn good!

More important is try to understand the reason for the binge and learn from it and darn that was a great walk. If I could do that one I would be happy. Love your self more than you love the feeling you get from food.!

sodium is not the enemy it is not all bad. The guidelines for sodium are just that guidelines. I had a condition that I had to eat a large amount of salt daily due to a heart rate issue.
