Interesting thread you go to a specialist in weight loss don't like what he tells you so instead of having a conversation with him you go on a form with lay people who don't have the background in medicine and ask them. What is wrong with this picture.

I have used the cheaper ones but I wore them out. I believe you get what you pay for and if you use them often you need good ones. I like the ones with speed adjustments rather than the kind you have to twist to adjust and tighten.

All carbohydrate and I mean all break down to glucose in the body. So if you don't want any sugar eat only meat and fat. Sugar is not the enemy eating too much of any food is not healthy. All things in moderation. Glucose feeds the brain so it is in moderation a very necessary item. Watching your macros is more important.…

How about Spinach Ricotta Gnocchi also called gnudi. They are not made with potatoes and are generally light and fluffy

Your body may be where it wants to be. You are without a doubt getting toned and fit. That may be the most important thing. I would have someone else measure you it is so much easier than trying to measure yourself. You may want to think about shaking up your diet some and not eat such a limited diet it might kick start…

Heart rate is not a measure of calories burned. Movement and activity is what burns calories.

I love my Fitbit. I think people on this site tend to put too much emphasis on heart rate. Some people have very low heart rates normally and they will rise only minimally during exercise and some people like myself have a fast heart rate and it will go off the scale when I exercise. It is a poor predictor of energy…

The site does not give everyone 1200 my daughter, husband and myself are all on MFP we each have a different calorie amt. I use Fitbit and I do not feel that it over estimates the amount of exercise calories. I don't worry too much about if it adds more calories to my diet. I only eat some of them back if I am hungry. I do…

Eggs are an inexpensive source of healthy protein. They are low calorie something like 70 per egg. I love eggs they are the most versatile food that can be eaten anytime of the day. a favorite is one egg, a cup of milk mixed together with a a tiny bit of sweetner poured over a slice of bread cubed up and a hand full of…

B12 does not affect weight but it is important for older women with anemia. It can also help some people with increasing their energy.

How ever you eat that get the results you want is good as long it becomes a way of life and not a temporary "diet". You can not forever skip a wonderful meal with friends and family. You will still have holidays. I do not have a planed day where I can eat what I want I will plan for a special meal or a day when work is…

That!! Never judge unless you have walked in a persons shoes. The US is a large diverse country. No one can or should paint the residents of it with one large brush. There are many reasons people are over weight including extreme poverty and there are many reasons that people have eating disorders. Just don't judge!

I don't track sugar and that fixes that problem, I do however track carbs.

When I need to eat more volume of food I also eat vegetables that have a high water content as they have a low calorie content. Veggies such as cabbage of all types lettuce and cucumber is also low calorie and can be eaten in volume. I also second what everyone else says about drinking more and a hot cup of tea is…

That is wonderful and I know a great feeling too for you. For me it was a big success when I went from being in the Obese range to the over weight range. Keep up the great job!

I rarely have a "cheat" meal as I eat everything and eat portions that fit within my calorie allotment. so there is no need to feel deprived. Some days I eat a bit more and some days I eat a bit less. I ate what I wanted on vacation but tried to eat as healthy as I could for eating out 3 times a day. I needed to change how…

Of course swimming burns calories Look at Michael Felps he ate almost 12,000 calories a day when in training. also the more fit you are the lower your heart rate will be. But I have never found heart rate was a good judge of exercise. Prior to my heart surgery my heart rate was around 150 and when I did anything it would…

you guilt over eating carbs is part of your eating issues. Remember there are no bad foods. Try eating as much as you want and not go over you calories. You will challenge your mind set but it may stop the binging. When you deny yourself thing you set yourself up failure. This is part of your recovery to learn not to have…

one or 2 days a week cook cheep and health don't give in to the kids demands for kiddy food on those days. By giving in you teach them to manipulate you into giving them junk and they learn to eat junk. It has to be done slowly. You are not a restaurant they will learn that and you food budget will thank you. I have raised…
