if this study had any value then most all people in Italy would have lung cancer. My grandparents ate lots of pasta white bread and wine at dinner my grandmother lived into her 90's my grandfather in his 80's. As many of there friends did. They did also not smoke they gardened and enjoyed family. Maybe that is the key. I…

I must try this, makes sense to me

Great point!!!!

However it is a good way for a center to get more money to do more studies and there is beg money in research. The cancer patients I work with have both smoking and crappy diet. I have seen very few non smokers have cancer but those that do may have other environmental risk factors.

some one brought me candy that they made and I tasted it but did not eat it. That is big because I love chocolate.

for some people insurance may cover the surgery for the removal of tummy skin. If it is causing issues such as frequent yeast infections, reduced mobility ect. I know several people had surgery covered for those reasons.

plain popcorn is about 20 cal a cup unseasoned or 30 some in a microwave bag. Why sweat a inaccurate cup 20 or 30 calories in the scheme of things is not a big deal. The pop corn I eat I split the bag with my husband and we enjoy it it is about 120 calories a few more or less is not going to stop my weight loss or my…

OP This is a great thread. My husband and I are working on these issues too. I will snack my self into a food coma and he is the big eater. What we are trying to do is if he wants a burger he in the past would say when we are not watching I want X, now if he really wants something we will work it in to our food plan. Also…

One retrospective study does not make it a fact. It just makes the news. Over 80% of all the cancer patients treated at the center I work at smoke. Over a billion Asians eat white rice and how many people in Italy eat white pasta. They are not dropping dead from cancer by the thousands.

An issue with raw milk can be tuberculosis. If it is your cow and you know the health go for it. I receive a international food quality newsletter very eye opening.

It was not knee surgery it was back surgery. 7 weeks home recovering I found it gave me the motivation to kick my diet into gear. No one from work with chips and dip around me. Maybe you can use your time recovering to care for your self in the healthy way. Good luck
-
you have never had food poisoning because you probably not take those chances.
-
We have more food in our cancer center than the cafeteria at the hospital. Chips and dip is the hardest to avoid for me.

It is possible that one size does not fit all. For some diet and exercise is the key for others like a friend who is tall slender(very) and runs regularly and developed type II diabetes. For women who are gestational diabetics their risk of developing Diabetes is very high later in life. I was very thin and fit when I got…

farmers in third world country are behold to those that they buy seeds from they have to buy all the pesticides from them too. A vicious cycle that keeps them poor. If they could buy seeds that do not need all those pesticides they would not have to spend money they do not have. Plus the pesticides they use are terrible…

for the most part for I can not eat most fruits and veggies that are raw. Strawberries and Watermelon are the worst offenders the end results are not pretty. I have found what triggers me and avoid it but I can eat most vegetables that are well cooked. I also added fermented foods into my diet while they are raw they seem…

I would not say to heck with it I would watch what I ate for breakfast and lunch and eat a happy dinner so "c" is close to what I would do. Healthy eating is not an all or nothing proposition.

I will often on Sunday, prep my veggies to be cooked during the week, or if I am making mac and cheese from scratch (I often add squash) I make the sauce ahead and then make the pasta and mix during the week. So I partial make some of my food so I can quick cook them during the week. I also make meals in the crock pot

This is what the study of 14 found not a big study Despite the fact that there has been conflicting evidence regarding whether chocolate has an effect on acne or not, no studies were found in the literature that assessed the effect of 100-percent cocoa on acne exacerbation in a double-blind, placebo-controlled fashion.…

there is no medical proof of that. Look at the science of acne
-
It is not foods per say clean or dirty. But is is from the increasing testosterone when bulking. 40 plus years ago they had special diets for people with acne. They believed foods caused it. It never helped. Sweat, bacteria on the skin and hormones all play a part and some of us never out grow it sadly.
