people talk about not eating any frozen food but many frozen vegetables are more nutritious than their fresh counterparts. They are picked and flash frozen to maintain vitamins and taste versus veggies that no one knows when they were picked.

I am cooking my gift to my husband and daughter. I am making rack of lamb, a fresh vegetable (what looks good in the market) and a lush flourless chocolate cake. I never go out to eat on Valentines day ever.

Those type of test are notorious for not being accurate. Before you give up a whole food group for the rest of your life double check. I had to do an elimination diet to find out my children's food sensitivities.

I think this is a great way to be. I often tell my patients (I am a oncology nurse) at the mind goes so does the body. Think positive feel better. Good luck!

I like to meal prep on Sundays too. A roast chicken for Sunday dinner, left overs for various meals or lunches. Cook the beef for stew and prep some carrots so when I come home a start the stew back on the stove with the veggies and just have to cube some potatoes. Even make mac and cheese make the sauce and cook the…

I have see this first hand working in the field of cancer. If cinnamon could cure cancer a company would have found a way to make money off it but people wait to have real cancer treatment due to quack cures until it is too late. Sad really

There is an Ohio group on MFP you can check them out too!

@mcsnora I am a nurse that works with breast cancer patients. You are right the medications cause weight gain. You dieting and starting an exercise program is wonderful and what I encourage my ladies to do for many health reasons. Good luck!
-
You are wrong just wrong as a nurse I Know medications can cause weight gain it will say it on the package insert. Yes most often it is calories in versus energy out but not always. Medications and diseases can affect weight big time. It is not always simple the body is complex.

One you may want to explore is why have you may have sabatoged your self when you see success. Are you afraid of attention or feel you are not worth it. Those voices are worse than the food we eat. You can do it and you are worth it

All fruits and vegetables have carbs

good luck, I have had cancer patients with CKD and it was hard to find ways to keep their nutrition up. There seemed to be so many food issues do to the limitations. She will be talking to the experts. There may be cook books designed for this disease we seem to have them for every other condition. She is lucky she has…

yes you have to soak or boil for 2 minutes then soak for an hour. some people make humus from the soaked state but it will not be smooth. After you soak then cook then you can use them for anything that you use canned chick peas for.

The IV fluids do affect your weight for a short time but for me surgery causes my body to go in to healing mode and I hang on to weight easier.

Sorry for the thread jack but this reminds me of the Haribo sugar free gummy bears reviews on Amazon. I laughed until I cried

you can do some arm exercises with either light weights or stretchy bands. I can't exercise for several months due to major back surgery but I do move my arms. It is hard to lose weight during this time and it can be depressing but just take it a day at a time.

my mother would sneak finely grated vegetables into her pasta sauce because my brother did not like vegetables. Roasted veggies are often tasty and people who don't like them any other way will eat them.
-
Those looked great I want to try them
-
That sounds yummy. We do chicken thighs often and I love roasted vegetables.
-
Good luck Matt, you can do it. My hubby had a band and a good friend has a sleeve. They are good tools just remember you have to deal with your head. We are here to support you!

I am getting my BSN online it is miserable with all the writing but I have stuck with it and will graduate March 2017. I took one class at a time and worked on class stuff for at least 30 minutes a day. It is doable I also try to treat myself to a trip away between each quarter. I go 10 weeks on 3 weeks off all year. The…

a osteopathic physician can do myofacial release but a good massage therapist can do it. It is painful to say the least

you can feel good about your appearance at any weight. Eating under 1200 cals is setting your self up for failure. Eat 1200-1500 and enjoy the journey. Healthy weight and living is not a race to have a finish by date. It is a long term goal and life style.

That is fabulous and way to go!!! You are doing it right
