Bodies are weird! My total guess is now your body is used to that weight and will be more forgiving. Another guess would be if you continued like that at home, you would eventually put the weight on. I think it's so important to enjoy vacations, especially if they are far and few between. I did the same you this summer at…

Yes, this is so odd. Is your doctor a general practitioner?

I have tried to read all of the responses but the BIG question is being ignored. Do vegetarians poop smell better than meat eaters????

I'm trying to stick to alcohol only on Friday and Saturday nights...

You will lose water weight quickly. Is it sustainable for you? Can you do this the rest of your life? I tried it, I lost weight and gained it back pretty quicly as soon as I started eating grains again. Why? because I did not learn how to eat appropriate portions.(and because I didn't want to live life without these…

I should read better.

I will add my 2 cents...don't focus so much on "eating clean" as much as staying in a…

I used to see them as evil but that was when I ate them in large amounts and had no control. Now I try and include them in my diet but in smaller portions, to stay within my calorie goal. We now have a good relationship

I agree with Ignatca. Weight loss was what helped most on lowering my blood pressure...It was amazing to see those numbers go down. Mine were higher than yours but are now normal

Great post but your inability to respond appropriately to what others have to say is just off-putting. You would have more success if you welcomed the debate as you said you would in your OP. @SezxyStef --great responses. Thanks for posting

I didn't read the comments so I'm sorry if this is a repeat. One thing I have learned is to stop feeling like a failure if you have a soda or something you think is "unhealthy". Get rid of this all-or-nothing mentality. So you have a soda...or a piece of chocolate...just log it and move on. No one eats "healthy" all the…

I go to a gym where "strength" and making PR's are celebrated. The members who can lift a lot of weight are usually larger. They are encouraged to eat more, not less and keep getting stronger. This seems to be the mentality of a lot of trainers. For me, I don't care about lifting a ton of weight. I want to maintain my…

When I start to stress eat, I have to tell myself 2 things: 1. stress will always be there, if not presently, it's right around the corner 2. At least I dont have the stress of having to lose weight, and I don't want that added stress. As someone mentioned above, hot soup. For some reason, hot tea, soup, showers, neck…

now I want rotisserie chicken

You're adorable...in both pics! Great job!

Tried it, I couldn't do it. I would crave bread/pasta so bad. I used to be so carb phobic. Now I make sure I have carbs throughout the day. I stick to whole grains and watch portion size. I no longer crave carbs because my body is getting some. When eating pasta or rice with a meal, I stick to half a cup cooked. If I want…

Boy I wish there was a "like" button. I remember my doctor hugging me, saying she couldn't believe someone listened to her, I was able to get off all my meds.

When I started I was 178, My doctor asked me what my goal weight was and I said 140. She looked at me and said, " You could safely get down to 125" lol :# I actually got down to 126 but in my opinion, didn't look good. I'm comfortable at 130-133 You can absolutely get to your goal weight!

Congratulations! I am not a PF fan, though I thought of joining just for use of the treadmills in the winter. The only tips I have is do what you enjoy otherwise consistency will be difficult. Try and do a combination of cardio and weight training. Be consistent, and if you feel your motivation is lacking...think about…

wow. what a great first post! You sound awesome, just went about your business and got it done! I always say the same thing...twenty years for my baby weight!

Hi Cocates! I hesitated on responding. We used to be friends on here. I know many people have lots of friends but I always liked to keep my list to people who are continuously active and have the same perspectives on weight loss/maintenance that I do. Honestly, it's for selfish reasons. They are the ones who keep me going…

not that I know of. I have tried!!I think the only way to log this would be to wear a heart rate monitor to track how many calories you burned during the session and then manually put it in.

I think it made me uncomfortable because I never knew if it was meant to be a compliment. " Wow, you really look like you lost weight!" Ummmm "thank you?????" If someone said "you look great!" I never knew what to say either because I cannot seem to take a compliment. The worst is when people ask how I did it and I say…

It wasn't until I lost about 20 lbs before anyone noticed. My husband lost 25 and most people still dont notice. 7 lbs is significant. Keep it up and dont rush...it will happen

Your diary is closed but make protein in your diet a priority.

I couldn't get past the fish smell. I much prefer spaghetti squash if I am substituting pasta!

I know this is not necessarily a "loose skin" response but I think it is so important to incorporate weight training as you lose weight. Some people think it is all cardio but when you weight train and eat enough protein you will help to maintain muscle mass which helps with appearance (just my 2 cents :) )
