Yes, and I have much more self esteem. It has not taken away all of my problems but took away quite a few. Namely high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. Aside from all of that now I can wear the clothes I love

I am a huge advocate for finding a personal trainer to help show you proper form as well as guide you as to which movements and combinations are most beneficial. I know it can be expensive but it's a great way to get started!

I spray olive oil and sprinkle parmesan cheese

you only ate 844 calories? If this is correct it is neither sustainable nor healthy. Do some research in how many calories you need to lose 1-2 lbs/week (even 2 is alot but I am not sure what your starting weight is) Do not undereat. It will lead to failure in the long run, that I can promise you. If you would like help…

Yes, I can gain/lose 3 lbs in a day due to many factors. (mostly TOM).

It's pretty normal. I lost about 45 lbs, went from 175 to 130. I still have days I feel huge, until I look in the mirror and see the weight is still gone. Like @47Jacqueline it took me a long time to buy clothing that actually fit, in fact I still have some of my old clothes in my closet.

Not that it's relevant but you look like you lost more than 54 lbs! You look fantastic, awesome job!

holy cow...simply amazing. I am sure your family is super proud of you!

My thought is if someone is truly full on 1200 calories/day they are not very active, elderly, or have not been doing it for very long. I noticed some people on this thread who have responded that they do feel full on 1200 calories/day have days where it is much higher or have skipped days of logging. I prefer to pick a…

I am pretty sure my body would reject that much fat in one sitting, but I would love a taste!!

How about peanut butter, chicken salad (with mayo) eggs, bunless burgers, cheeses, boy there are so many options. Spend some time searching new foods in the supermarket!

I am a huge advocate for moms being good to themselves. I want my kids to be proud of me and I believe they are more proud of someone who takes time and pride in themselves. I would not want my daughter to sacrifice her happiness for her kids. My kids have always seen me go to the gym (time away from them) and if anything…

I had the same mentality and Cheez-its were usually the culprit. I haven't bought them in 2 years because they are something I cannot stop eating. I just dont buy or keep certain foods in the house. The one thing that helped me with the "all or nothing" mentality was to allow myself treats and stay within my calorie goal.…

You have the wrong attitude which tells me you are right, you won't lose the weight. You are being given good solid advice yet choose to close your ears and get defensive. But...whatev

Try not giving the sweets up totally. Allow yourself a sweet treat every day and fit it into your daily calorie goal. Also, Don't avoid fats...try eating the good fats like coconut oil, olive oil, avocado. Fats help tremendously with satiety, and have many benefits. Incorporating healthy fats into your diet may help you…

Jess!! You look wonderful and you are so consistent! I have no doubt you will reach your goals. xo So glad we're friends!

well said! Not intentionally lying, but it doesn't add up. I would log for a couple of weeks and see what your average comes out to be...maybe you are over eating on the weekends??

Hi Cailee...you can do this. Here is a great thread to get you started. So much valuable information in one place. read all of the links! http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1

Welcome!! Logging definitely helps with awareness. I like looking over my day to see where I could have done a little better. Good Luck!

I did not read all of the comments and I am not a diabetes expert but I will tell you I was diagnosed about 2 years ago...briefly. My endocrinologist put me on Victoza which in my opinion saved me. They are daily injections (which were a piece of cake) Not only does it lower your sugar but totally takes away your appetite.…

I don't like food smells when I am working out. gross.

It's just a fun question Buzz Killington.

The same thing happened to someone I work with. She has stopped losing (way too early in my opinion) and the toaster oven was filled with deep fried chicken tenders and french fries. So, she really hasn't learned anything. She also thinks it was a success

You will get a lot of advice on here against it. My question is did you give it a good try? I mean a really good try? I have a friend on here TannunisFred, who has lost 300 lbs by eating at a modest calorie deficit and exercising. I certainly dont know your situation and wish you luck, but I wanted to give you his name in…

lol you have a great sense of humor...which is key to success. Good luck to you!! Friend request sent, if you ever have any questions just ask. I will help if I can. I have logged daily for over a year and a half with no plans on stopping. I continue to learn and grow!!

I think that was a great response. I usually revert to cursing immediately..lol I am sure you helped teach him a good lesson!
