I'm 5'6", 33 and I'm a newbie as well. I started lifting 3 wks ago. I do 3 sets of 10-12 reps bench press 55 dumb bell curl 20 tricep push 25 lat pulldown 62.5 leg press 200 I know I should be doing squats, but I'm just too fat!! I'm trying to work away some belly fat before I incorporate them. :happy:

I have definition, and *gasp* even a muscle, in my biceps! Don't remember the last time I've had definition anywhere on my body! :happy:

Eating low carb helps me lose my belly faster than anything else. I think part of it is the bloating I get when I eat processed foods, but I can definitely tell a difference if I stick to healthy meats and fresh veggies. As I'm losing it is most noticeable in my face and belly, so I'm happy!

I'm 33 and I have a 12 yr old daughter and a 5 yr old son. I stay plenty busy working full time and transporting my kids to various activities. Luckily my daughter is at a good age to play tennis and racquetball with, so she's good at making me workout when I don't wanna.... :smile: I would love friends my age for support…

I've found that sometimes your kids will enjoy foods you've never thought to give them. I would offer them what you're eating first just in case. This is exactly what I do. I have an app on my phone and a spreadsheet where I track my weight each week. I have to do this to keep myself in check. Different things work for different people. It's great on wraps! Try it with turkey or a veggie wrap. The same idea as the guy who said you can use it to replace mayo on sandwiches.
