Thank you. Carlin's "7 Words" monologue was the first thing I thought of when seeing the OP topic.

Damn, you got hosed.

You are such a hero and inspiration to so many of us here that I hereby nominate you as King of MFP. Well, if not king, at least Mayor McCheese.

Sadly, I think that we will all be seeing more and more cases like this one detailed in the OP. As a nation, we have collectively lost all ability to gauge what a normal healthy body looks like. In the OP's home state of WV the CDC reports that over 69% of the population is overweight and over 32% of the population rates…

I'm actually having good luck getting my jeans from TSC - Tractor Supply Company. They have a brand called Stone Mountain which is dirt cheap. $10/pair, which comes in quite handy during this period where - hopefully - they are disposable due to a steady drop in waistline size.

I'm squarely in the camp of "WHY does anyone eat at Olive Garden?".

Post of the day for certain. My youngest son, BTW, has the same nickname. Cheers to the Otters.

Ah, Pitaya. Yep, totally love them. Tried to grow my own a few years back but, unfortunately, lost the whole dang cactus to a late frost before it bore fruit. Bummer.

I shot a man in Reno. Just to watch him die.

Yep, I'd say that this has more to do with it then any magic beet juice.

Gettin' it done in The Lone Star State. I'm always happy to find others who also have come to realize that not everything needs to be bigger in Texas. Well done.

Best thing about the progress pic is the total look of confidence in that latter image. Great job on what you have accomplished to date and no doubt you will have even further success.

Perhaps if she had remembered to bring along her Hungarian phrasebook then all confusion could have been avoided: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akbflkF_1zY

Tends to be a bit of a "chicken and the egg" scenario though. Of course, the only real way to get this done is with personal responsibility and lifestyle change. That said, the grey area where most of these types of medically supervised diets do need to share some of the culpability is that they do not teach folks how to…

I'm 6'3" and currently at around 290 - down from a peak weight of just below 350. Have some goals to get down to around 200 by Summer 2014. You can do this. It's really just about the math to make sure that the intake in calories is consistently lower than expenditure over time. Also in Central TX, btw, out in the country…

I remember some of your earlier posts back at the beginning of the year when I first discovered MFP. Was impressed/inspired by your story then and am happy to see the additional success that you've had in these past 8 months. I am, no doubt, only one of many who are thankful for your sharing of this story. Well done.

Take a look at the number on Ed's ticker. 3-1-2. You just heard from Master Yoda there. What more info is needed?

So my PA routine can be pretty varied. Official workouts are generally in the pool, some weights (which I plan to incorporate more and more) and I've tried a few times to get back in to jogging with starting up C25K but I've never much enjoyed running so that one is a bit challenging. Plenty of unofficial PA opportunities…

Not only does it give me the option to have a computer rendering of myself after some gym time and dropping another 90 pounds, the advanced settings gives me the option of growing dreads and a goatee. Nice.

Nice tip on the USDA suggestion. Oh, and don't forget to exit through the gift shop.

Similar size and profile here. 6'3". Starting weight at just under 350 lbs and currently at just around 60 pounds down. Been taking a bit of a slacker holiday on the hard-core tracking this past month but am gearing back up to get serious about tackling the next mini-goal of getting another 50 pounds off of this frame of…

Correct, Neil Armstrong did pass in 2012. NASA did release earlier this week, however, this shocking photo which brings in to question whether Neil actually was the first human to walk on the moon....
