you can add me. Started last week with heavy lifting to do both add muscle and lose weight. :)

You can add me. I have NROL4W and have read it but am actually doing Starting Strength first but it's all new to me as well so we can journey together!
-
I second the Sarah Lurie Iron Core dvd collection...alot of bang for the buck on Amazon with a variety of routines.

I have the same model and had to send it back to Polar repair and I had a bad transmitter. Got tired of troubleshooting each piece and sent everything back to them to test. Quick turnaround on getting it fixed and returned with new transmitter.

Hi Pinksands! You can add me. I'm 47ish...and MFP is great. Failure is a learning opportunity...it helps you figure out what works and what doesn't-don't be afraid of it on this journey. It's an up and down ride but so much to learn from it..you'll get there. Keep reading the posts and the experiences of other MFP folks…

Love this-you've inspired me so much! Just started heavy lifting last night and this is gonna keep me doing it! Thanks for sharing and I hope good things come your way!

not a newbie but anyone can feel free to add. I have a great group of mfp buddies, the more the merrier!
-
that's encouraging for me! I'm starting tonight with hubby helping me and I have to say I'm a bit nervous!
-
I'd love to be included and anyone can friend me. I'm 47 and my doc scolded me on my weight gain at my last physical-she said I had another 10 coming when I hit menopause so I better get a grip on it now! Since September I'm down 13 lbs and working out regularly which I NEVER did before. My husband is helping me start…

As a Newton ma resident who was on lockdown friday with my kids we thank everyone for their support. It is reassuring to know so many stand with Boston in its time of need. You all help keep us Boston Strong!

Allow yourself the time to recover and then focus on getting back in shape. You'll work your way back into a routine and get back on track in no time. Try to eat sensibly while you're recouperating and have a plan ready when you can start working out again. Small walks, a little lifting etc...

I'd go with the 30 day shred. I've seen plenty of result pics sin the threads with wonderful results in 30 days. I'm doing it now every other day between my kettlebells and getting great results. My previously tight pants I had to belt today!

I'm having the same issues with my Polar ft4. Sending it back to be serviced. I hope it works. If it is a polar you can trouble shoot from their website with a livechat with one of their reps.

I'm in the same boat now but still working out. If you feel ok then absolutely no reason not to work out while you have it. If you're doubled over in cramps then I'd cut it back but I actually find my cramps are gone now that I've been exercising.

Love it! I'm 47 and just went to Vegas on a business trip about 3 weeks ago. My hubby has joked for the past few years for me to get a belly ring. Well, I did it on this trip. It was a spur of the moment decision to go in to the tattoo parlor. I've lost 13 lbs since September with 10lbs to hit my goal so this was my…

bump this is great. I want to show my daughter who is struggling with her weight that slow and steady wins the race!
-
I'm in the last 10 pound club too! Trying to figure out how to fix it. I'm going to try heavy lifting if I muster up the courage and hopefully get some momentum! Cross your fingers!! Feel free to add me.

You have so much going for you! The grief will pass, you can't rush it. The pain will subside and the happy memories will resurface and that's what you have gto focus on. I've found it best to make small/mini goals when it comes to health and fitness. I'm 47 and until this year I never worked out regularly. Now I'm eating…

I'm a kettlebeller right now! I'm just waiting for my hubby to pull his old weight equipment out of storage so I can start NROL4W. Biting at the bit to start it but have to be patient!

How about a kettlebell routine. I started one a few weeks ago and the results are awesome. The calorie burn is tremendous and the increase in muscle and strength is fast.

You're my hero! :)

I would offer alternate suggestions....I've tried to do healthier things for my kids in the past (now teenagers) rather than load them up on candy. I've made gardening baskets filled with gardening tools, flower seeds etc that they could plant, I've done a book basket, movie with popcorn...just suggest some other things…

Hi There, I tried PINK method last year but didn't finish. I had never exercised before so I found it too challenging. The beginning of this year I tried JM Body Revolution which I found more suitable to a newbie dvd user. I will eventually go back and try it again now that I am not so intimidated by working out and see…

bump Because I'm 5'4" and love to see the potential.

bump to remind me the scale doesn't matter!

I can't speak to any of the programs listed other than the JMBR which I have. I started that one and got to week 4 but tried kettlebells and got hooked! You may not have considered kettlebells but they are awesome-just make sure you get a dvd with a good instructor like Sara Lurie or Lauren Brooks. I am doing the Sara…

Great job! I love 30DS, going to restart tonight..had started before some business travel and fell off the wagon but going back tonight because it's a great workout. I'm going to alternate nights though between 30DS and my kettlebells because the bells are awesome too! Keep up the great work and keep us posted on your…

This is awesome! Very inspirational. Way to go and you look great! :)

Awesome! You need to ditch the scale-it's not your friend. The measuring tape and pictures are your new friends!! Way to go :)
