Lottaburger has an amazing sugar free sweet tea. I think they use splenda.

Mix with veggie beef (or chicken, shimp, etc) stir fry. cook the rice separately and mix before serving. It gets the flavors of the entire dish and adds to the texture.

Sprinkle chia seeds on top of salads. Cook any into oatmeal or other hot cereal (grits, farina, etc). I run my seeds through a coffee grinder for a couple seconds before adding them to most things, although on top of salads they're really pretty whole. Put chia in the bottom of a drink and let them soak to get something…

The refueling one I'm the worst at, although the food diary helps. And I do tend to take a bite here or there, but I factor the calories.

I think something like that could be a lot of fun. I know I push myself harder in anything if there's competition.

If it's clinical depression, I would agree about the doctor before cutting calories very much at least. However, changing the types of foods you eat and adding physical activity are both proven to have a positive impact on mood and exercise actually creates chemicals in your brain that battle depression.

For the best flavor in green tea I would recommend looking into any loose leaf variety (different varieties, based on the region where they were grown, will have different flavors). Green tea is also very delicate so it takes care in steeping it. From boiling, let your water sit 1-2 minutes before pouring it over your tea…

For your body's basic requirements you should have about 1 gram per kg body weight (find by dividing your weight in lb by 2.2). If you're planning on accessing all of the benefits of protein and especially if you're lifting, double that number or on a calorie restricted diet aim for about 30% of your calories in protein.

Your body uses it as water so why not count it?

There's a weight bench right behind my treadmill because of stupid space issue. Always always always wear the little leash. And always speed up WITH the machine rather than waiting for it to be at speed. Never yet had an issue.

You need calories for your body to be able to use rest days to recover! You won't gain much if any muscle on a calorie deficet, especially such a large one. I would suggest New Rules of Lifting for Women for knowledge about combining lifting and nutrition.

18 pounds is something people are going to notice. If people's comments are encouraging that's great! If they're not, brush them off and don't let them sink your motivation. Keep up the hard work and you'll get to where you want to go regardless of what anyone does to try to stop you.

The fats in milk aren't going to hurt you as long as you're not eating like 1000 calories of just animal based fats. The occasional piece or two of bacon *gasp* won't kill you either. I usually drink 1-2% depending on what I have around the house but wouldn't be opposed to whole. I used to drink skim all the time too.

Oddly enough for me the trick is all in the water bottle. I have to find a bottle I actually like and if I get bored with it I tend to drink less and have to change up again. Right now I'm on the "Smart Water" 24 oz bottle which I only have to fill 3 times to get to and even go over my daily minimum. Also you can count…
