You should start lifting now. Go to fitnessblender.com for some great exercises that don't require gym and some that don't require equipment. However, don't think you have to lose first and then lift. Do it now, NOW! Incorporate it into your workout. Trust us.

When you are heavier, you can lift more. I read up on that when I realized the same thing. I don't know what the science is on it but I'm sure you can find something to explain it. It's a good thing.

Stronglifts 5x5, jump rope, bicycle recently got added to repertoire. Am going to start adding some other stuff like bring back the dumbbells, YEAH!

Hey powerlifter...i like your answer. I was wondering lately if i should do more isolated exercises "right now" while I'm doing 5x5 as someone new-ish who is getting stronget but is still carrying sone blubber (haha "blubber"), that is.
