2nd week on the Military Diet!

Thanks for the replies. I have my max calorie set at 1200. Recently I've been doing 3 times a week on the treadmill, brisk uphill walking for 30-45 minutes. I wish i was a runner, but I'm just not. ..

Me too.

Yep, I'm 5'2" looking to lose 20lbs...eventually. Starting weight: 135. Desired weight: 115.

I don't get hit on either. I'm pretty sure it's the vibe I give off. I also have CBF (chronic *kitten* face) :p

I honestly think it's a waste. I got stuck in an L.A. Fitness trainer program, it's embarrassing how much I paid for a year's worth of training, but unless you put your mind to it, including your diet, the trainer can only push you as much as you're willing to go without being annoying and making you want to quit. My…

Following this thread! I'm turning 43 this year and am at my highest weight ever. I definitely noticed a slowing of metabolism. Boo!
-
I agree, it is so hard. We are here to support you!

Gonna bump this topic as I've tried to do this diet, even paid for the online service for a year, but opted out, figured I could do it on my own without paying for the website. My biggest challenge is Phase 1's "no booze for two weeks"!

42 year old mother of one checking in! I'm at my highest weight ever, unfortch...Got to give this another try for 2015.

Hi, feel free to add me! This is the year to get back into shape WITHOUT FAIL!

You're welcome! Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:

Wow, that's an interesting and unorthodox idea. I love all the unusual ideas people think of. Thanks!

I've recently gone on a bender actually: Thai drunken noodles, chili cheese fries, and Taco Bell a couple weeks ago! I also did some chili cheese fries this week. I think this is where I gained my my last 5 lbs. It's good to see that I'm not alone about the indulgent, bad habit kind of partner...I hope he will think about…

I appreciate a straight-talker, I'm pretty much the same way. I also understand it's a tough road and there is no sugar-coating when it comes to this stuff. I just couldn't break up with someone I love when it's something I have to deal with in myself. Thanks.

I feel a bit of a dope for trying it. I keep forgetting to sprinkle...

It is interesting you are suggesting I go as far as getting rid of someone I love. You know nothing about my life, so it's kind of intrusive and I would appreciate if you would stop suggesting that. I don't think I need to go that far. I am willing to look at myself. My partner will stay with me regardless of my decisions…

Please explain. Thanks!

Wow, thanks for all the advice so far! I will have to read all of it at lunch. Laters...

I definitely don't want to deprive either. Thanks!
-
No, I don't want a pity party. I was just asking for advice. Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, they DO taste SO good. That's the problem. Funny thing is, I can resist sweets. Just not fatty, fried, and salty! Oh and carbs in the form of pasta.

I used to do yoga and love it. I regret signing up for a trainer which I'm financially obligated to. By August I won't be on the hook for it, so I will try yoga again. Thanks.
-
Haha! That's just nutty enough that I'll try it! Thanks.

Thanks, I needed to read that.
