  • It all depends on if I'm hungry enough. Normally I don't eat them back but sometimes I'll use them as a cushion so I can eat an extra snack. Or if I"m having a bad day and eat two rather large cookies like yesterday. I don't usually worry about it though.
  • If your comfortable with what your doing then keep it up. Don't worry about keeping up with what others can do. Just listen to the limits of your own body. If your wanting to move faster because you feel safe to do so, then slowly add some time. Just pay attention to make sure you don't over do it. I have to say you are…
  • We do this all the time. Weekly I buy about 6 loaves of bread and put them in the freezer. It takes less than an hour to thaw and taste fine. I'm not sure about keep time because with 6 people in the house, it doesn't stay in the freezer for more than a week. We've also done it with milk, cheese, butter, and go-gurts. Milk…
  • Thanks for trying. I had already looked at that one and it's not helping because the models are too different. But thanks.
  • Can you do air cycling? Lie on your back with your feet in the air and pretend to peddle a bike. Overhead arm press and arm circles both get your heart rate up and quickly.
  • The biggest, best advice I can give you is to TALK TO YOUR PARENTS. Seriously, why do teenagers feel that they can't talk to their parents anymore? Back to the discussion at hand. Talk to your parents and explain what you're doing and WHY. And I don't mean just the "I wanna look good for..." line. Tell them that you need…
  • I love the recipes on this site: http://dashingdish.com/recipe/pina-colada-protein-shake/ Part of that site is a paid membership but I haven't had any problems accessing recipes. As for a blender, I swear by my Ninja. We've had a few blenders over the years and this is the only one that I've had that works well on ice. I…
  • Without seeing your diary, we can't really help but 30 pounds in 60 days is an amazing amount of weight. It's entirely possibly you've hit a plateau because your starving yourself.
  • Your first step needs to be to start logging daily. Either as soon as your done eating or better yet pre-log it so that you know your staying in your goals. Measure and weigh EVERYTHING. If it has calories or carbs it goes into your diary. That way you can get an honest look at your eating habits.Looking at what you did…
  • Swimming for sure! Even just walking in water that is a bit higher than your waist. Walking, as much as you can tolerate. Cycling. I just finished PT for a knee injury that had me down for 6 months. Some of the exercises I've been doing at home are bridges (laying on the floor with knees bent and lifting my butt), clam…
  • That's a constant debate on here. Personally, I only use my exercise calories as a cushion if I'm having an "I'm starving" day.
  • I'd have joined that team to if it was an option.
  • I'm in! I'd prefer companion but if you need to put me in another team then go for it.
  • BC will have different affects on different people. It is entirely trial and error. I will tell you though, you need to RESEARCH. Before you agree to taking any BC, research it like crazy. I was one of those that had nasty side effects on the depo. Like the other poster that mentioned, I wont go into details on here but…
  • I've cut down my diet pepsi intake but I do still drink it. No matter what I drink, diet pepsi or coffee, my next drink is always a bottle of water. I bounce back and forth throughout the day. Sometimes I'll drink 2 or 3 waters in a row but if I drink something other than water, water is always my next one.
  • Maybe toss it in the blender instead of hand mixing it.
  • This is basically what I do only I use unsweetened almond/coconut milk and I add a container of danon light greek yogurt. Sometimes I swing by the coffee shop and get two shots of espresso to replace the regular coffee.
  • I don't always but often I'll have 2 shakes. I always double scoop mine. They rack up 56 grams of protein. Try it, if you're ok doing twice a day then I don't see why not.
  • Walmart sells these little plastic ring sizer things that fit on your ring and keep them snugger. Or you can buy a cheap temporary band until you get to a lower weight. I wouldn't resize your rings until your at your goal weight.
  • Looks like I lost the fashion model's head! Now to get rid of the rest of her. Thanks for the post, I printed this to post on my fridge.
  • Family/environment does affect your weightloss. While it ultimately comes down to your choices, it's easy to get lost to temptation. What's that saying, the right way or the easy way. We dealt with this as a big issue for us a few years ago. Every time I'd try to diet, my husband would bring home cookies or candy bars or…
  • THIS! Basically sums up how I felt when I lost 70 pounds a few years ago. I call it "Fat Girl Syndrome." I got lots of compliments but I just couldn't see it. When I started to put the weight back on, I was under so much stress that I didn't even realize it was happening until my pms jeans didn't fit me anymore. And even…
  • I really don't care for meat but I guess it's going to be a chicken night just so that I don't pay for it later. Thanks.
  • We do this. It's more expensive but I have zero self control if there's sweets in the house. A greek yogurt in a favorite flavor often helps. Also, I've noticed that since I usually start the day with a chocolate/peanut butter protein shake, I don't crave sweets as much during the day.
  • Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into it.
  • I try to prelog so that I am sure it can fit into my goals for the day. Also, it may be more expensive but I go for individual servings or a package with few items in it. Like today, I bought a 4 pack of cookies. 1 for me and each of the kids. I could have bought a 12 pack for cheaper per cookie but at nearly 300 calories…
  • No problem. I hope the advice helps. My orthopedist and my physical therapists all still harp on me to make sure I'm following RICE on pt or workout days. Good luck.
  • The boxing is my favorite Wii game. I don't recall which disc it's on but I think it's the one that came with the system. It's great for upper body exercises and it burns a lot of calories.
  • Have you been following RICE? Rest Ice Compression Elevate? It would be good to do these after a workout or a lot of time on your feet. More than once a day would be better. I'm not much help with ankle injuries but I wouldn't think it'd be much different than knee injuries which I'm VERY familiar with. Compression while…
  • I already was walking. I'm not cleared for running yet. I knew that the first few weeks I used this app that I wouldn't be able to do it properly but it gave me the motivation to go a bit faster and walk a bit further. I've only got 7 more physical therapy sessions so hopeful by the 24th I'll be cleared to start at least…
