I am thinking of getting a fitbit as well, so I'm going to follow this. I have a few friends that have multiple fitness trackers and they have all told me that the fitbit software is much more user friendly and syncs well with other sites (like MFP) better than some of its competitors. But I'm really curious to hear how…

I have not done it, but would be interested in a review! I take kickboxing classes, but during this winter that seems to have no end, I can't always get to the gym....especially when school keeps delaying! Would love to find a good kickboxing DVD to do at home.

Back to the OP...I almost always gain weight the first few days into a new exercise program. Whether it is gaining muscle or retaining water, I don't know. But you are THREE days in. Stay off the scale for a while. If you are making good choices, it will happen.

Ohmygosh....now I love your cat, too! Hi Kitty!

Hmm...not sure, but I will tell you that in my experience they always give you an "estimated delivery date" and those have been very accurate for me.

I agree - Couch to 5K is a great place to start! I also wanted to throw out there that you might want to consider something to put over your mouth for when you're "in the thick" of the color. I know they say it won't hurt you, but it doesn't taste good. :) Have fun!!

If you like coffee, Reaction Nutrition has a seasonal pumpkin spice latte flavor out right now. It is soooo good with unsweetened almond milk. I wake up craving it in the mornings. Sometimes I add a little coffee as well. I haven't had great luck adding protein powder to my coffee (for me it clumps really badly) but if I…

I love cheese and crackers. So far the ones that work best for me are Kashi Heart to Heart Original Whole Grain crackers (they taste like Triscuits, but they're made with Plant Sterols) and Babybel mini gouda cheese. 80 Cals in the cheese 120 Cals in the crackers

Awww....I LOVE this thread. What a feel-good post for a gloomy Tuesday! I'll play along... I love that my husband is supportive of a healthier lifestyle, but always tells me I'm perfect the way I am and says "Don't change for me...change for you." I love that he does dishes. :) I love, love, love that he is an equal…

So funny...I was just thinking, "Oh....that makes me sad. We need to fly this girl over here for some pumpkin goodness!!" Your way works too though. We could fly there....

I sprinkle it on my salad. I saw someone do it at Whole Foods and have been doing it ever since. Adds nice texture. I also like to mix it with black beans and diced avocado. Yum.

Penzey's Spices has several salt-free blends that are delicious. I like Mrs. Dash, but have found several from Penzey's that I like better. If you go to their website they have suggested uses, recipes, etc. for all of their blends.

Soooo spot on. This guy does happen to have a new "certification." This thread has made me feel much better. Great OP.

The one that gets me the most from "fitness-minded" people is that the only thing I should ever consider when choosing a snack is it's potential weight-loss benefits. I had a someone over the weekend tell me I shouldn't be eating fruit with my cottage cheese because it's "pure sugar." I said, "I know fruit contains sugar.…

Fitness Edge protein smoothies come in individual bottles. Fun flavors - key lime, tropical orange, etc. For powder, I like Reclaim Smart Smoothies the best. I found it at Complete Nutrition.
