  • I just wish my town was more bike friendly. It's not fun having to bike on the shoulder of a road with cars going 50 mph and having few places to chain up the thing.
  • Yes, your net calories should be 1200 cal/day. So if you only eat 1200 then burn off 400 at the gym, you're not properly fueling your body.
  • That's okay. Just make sure your net calories remains above 1200.
  • I've been doing the same thing for about every 5 pounds. Some of my past and future rewards include: belt (for all my too large pants) makeup office plant new backpack workout clothes ice skates
  • Sugar free pudding cups and the ever handy fruit (apples, bananas, ect)
  • First, hang in there. Second, maybe make an appointment with your physician and have them do some blood work to check your hormones and everything. You may also want to slightly increase your calories if feeling deprived is making you want to quite. Better to lose at a slower rate than just give up. Keep at it.
  • Glad you're here. This is definitely the right place. And good luck on your journey!

  • Eating less than 1200 cals/day gets flagged in MFP as starvation mode.
  • Stick to your calories. Since MFP I've definately cut back on going out to eat because it's hard to find a low-cal option while eating out. But when I do eat out, I try to go someplace that has nutrition info on their website and I plan my meal before I even step foot in the restaurant. Then I know what I'm allowed to have…
  • I'd say you're definitely gaining muscle mass. I know you want the weight loss, but maybe also start taking your body measurements. Hopefully you'll see some improvement there.
  • I've been eating some Campbell's soups. They aren't high in sodium, but they aren't low either. The thing that I like about them is the potassium balances the amount of sodium. That's what's important. It's probably better to eat 600 mg sodium plus 600 mg potassium than to just eat 300 mg sodium. Remember learning about…
  • First, it's really important to get your 1200 calories at minimum. And it sounds like you're working out a lot. You may be building more muscle mass than fat loss. It's also important to allow your body time to recover between workouts, so if your just getting started, you may want to take a half step back.
  • At 125 you are already at a healthy weight. If you're meant to lose more, just keep tracking your calories and exercising and it will happen. And stop binging. The problem usually stems from depriving yourself of what you want. So if you really need that cookie/soda/pasta, then have just a single serving, or even a half…

  • Get a cracker thin crust pizza light in calories. Drink diet soda or light beer. And tell yourself that skinny tastes better than that snack tray.
  • Yeah, I've lost my head! If I can find two more heads to lose I'll almost be to my goal.
  • You wouldn't go into starvation mode right away, but you are suppose to consume no less than 1200 calories a day for health reasons. If you exercise, you are not suppose to "eat back" those calories per say. You can if you want to, but then you just negated your exercise. So if you exercise and don't eat it back, your body…
