Tracking my food every day even if I go over. Eating a lot of real foods. Increasing my calorie goal when I started feeling hungry and grumpy all the time. Hang in there. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job so far. Don't worry about fighting the kids....just nudge them a little bit....and the changes, however small, will come with time.

If you are grilling you can get away with a higher-fat meat as some of it will cook out. I try to buy grass-fed when I can afford it, otherwise I'll get 85 to 93% lean, depending on what the best deal is and what we are using it for.

I hear ya. I'm about the same height and have lost a decent amount. My arms and legs are starting to look almost freakishly skinny to me, while my stomach wants to stay fat. I guess that's just the last place to lose. Hang in there.

Last time I went I had grilled skirt steak with salad, plus some of my rice, and a few chips/salsa. I can't remember the exact calories but it was reasonable. And delicious :)

I just tried the ones called Pasta Slim. They did stink a little but not too much after I rinsed them. They didn't taste like anything. Their texture was horrible though - like chewing on rubber bands. I ended up not eating them. I think they would be ok if they were chopped up and cooked differently, like in a baked pasta…

I have made the muffins with the pumpkin and a chocolate fudge cake mix. They look kind of like poop but they taste delicious! Also really good if you use a yellow cake mix. They don't need frosting at all.

My dad used to make peanut butter, mayonnaise and raisin sandwiches for us and himself. I remember them as being good. I don't know if there are any really weird things I eat now. Hmm. I had yogurt with peanut butter captain crunch, strawberries, coconut and chocolate chips on top the other day. That was a bowl of love!

Is the max deficit of 800 a straight figure or a percentage? My current maintenance is 1550; I think I would have a really hard time eating just 750 and not sure how safe that would be. I have been on here for 3 months now. I am 5' 0.5". I started at 135 and am now 113-114. I have my ultimate goal listed as 108 but really it's just "no more squishy mom belly" and a more defined waist. I was previously wearing size 10-12 and am now fitting into some old size 5s.

On days when I eat a lot of high-carb foods, I find myself hungry all the time even if I have eaten a lot. More protein and some good fats should help a little.
