  • What an accomplishment, tremendous work! And I too agree with the you can't rush it part, if you stick to doing what you know works it will happen, just not always when you want it to ;) Good luck with those last 35.
  • You look wonderful, congrats on all your hard work!!
  • I am two weeks into a gluten free diet as well! Turns out I am intolerant, I have had horrible headaches and IBS for a couple of years now that I knew could maybe be because of gluten but was too stubborn to give it up. I was feeling so awful a few weeks ago I decided to try cutting it and low and behold I have been…
  • Cutting down on your bread (biscuits and the Dave's) alone will save you a ton of calories. I know it feels like you are hungry but your body is getting plenty of nutrition. Cut 100 calories at a time and your body will adjust, pretty soon you won't miss it at all. Maybe sub in some nuts too, I know they keep me nice and…
  • I have fibro too and I am just over one week in to cutting out gluten from my diet and it has made a huge difference. I knew it could be a factor in how I was feeling but I was too stubborn to try it before. I have more energy then I have had in years and a lot less pain. Not in my wildest dreams did I think it could make…
  • Don't skip your meals, just make them healthier or eat a little less.
  • Click on someone's picture and it will give an option to send a message or ignore, click on it again in that box and it will take you to a page where you can add someone as a friend
  • I am looking for friends and motivation too, 6-7 years ago I lost 60 lbs and was in the best shape of my life and then well life happened and now I am at it again. Feel free to add me!

  • Strength training would probably help you greatly, if you workout at home you can invest in a set of adjustable dumbbells (a little spendy but you will have them forever) and do youtube videos, there are tons of great channels out there that are free, Fitness Blender is a favorite of mine.
  • Caffeinated teas can actually work as a diuretic so I would avoid drinking a lot of those, but herbal tea is a great choice.
  • I have fibromyalgia and yes it makes things very tough. I used to be very fit and workout all the time, I tend to try and workout like I used to and then make myself so exhausted that I am out of commission for a week afterwards. I have been working on just doing small things like taking a walk on my lunch at work and some…
  • Bridges really work the booty and are low impact.
  • Great work, what a difference!
  • I agree with starting with walking, there are DVD's you can get where you do walking workouts in your own house and they usually incorporate some extra toning moves too. Or just walk outside, around the block or see if there are any trails near your house. Do invest in some sneakers though or your feet will be killing you!…
  • Kickboxing and kettlebells for this lady. They both make me feel fierce and give me great results.
  • hard boiled eggs, string cheese and almonds are great high protein snacks on the go too!
  • I love Fitness Blender. They have a great variety of videos, I would say try a few and find what you like to do. I just do what I am in the mood for that day. I know they suggest to do three days a week of strength and two-three days of cardio. I personally prefer to do total body workouts and do the hardest I feel up to…
  • I think what you listed seems fine, the most important thing is to listen to your body. As long as you are not too sore then go for it, but you don't want to push yourself too far and risk injury especially if you haven't been working out in a while. Make sure you are doing warm ups and cools downs too.
  • It is not a easy or fast process, don't lose faith. I have to work very hard to lose weight too so I know how you feel. I think you are eating too many calories, you have got to get a deficit going, maybe try droping to 1500 calories per day and see if that helps. If what you are doing is not working keep tweaking, there…
  • OMG everyone on here has to argue about everything it is seriously insane, I have not been able to post one thing with out someone saying something argumentative. All I mean is most traditional cardio "type" exercises such as running, cardio video routines, HIIT training, kickboxing, ect don't usually include a strength…
  • Yes! Kettlebells are one of my favorite workouts and I have had great results, you get a great full body workout that is both cardio and weight training (not many workouts out there actually count as both!). What weight are you using, I am currently using 10 and 15 lbs bells.
  • I have done Turbo Fire for years and never had issues but I can see how it could happen. I would just say to make sure you stick with the modifying moves until you are comfortable, and maybe take it at a slower pace, they do move very fast for how complicated some of the moves are. Also maybe wear a knee brace at least…
  • Just posting an article with some scientific info in it, pretty sure most people can read it for themselves and realize that they aren't personally burning that many calories, I just thought it was intresting, sheesh.
  • Here is a great article about kettlebells. Because kettlebells are both an aerobic and anaerobic exercise you burn a ton of calories, up to as many as 20 per minute, but that is if you are working very hard and is dependent on the types of exercises you do. http://www.acefitness.org/getfit/studies/Kettlebells012010.pdf
  • I take apple cider vinegar as a natural treatment for gallstones, it is the only thing I have found that will help if I am having an attack. I usually just dilute it in water, it is strong but you get used to the taste. I would rather just put it in a small amount of water and drink it fast and not prolong the whole thing.…
  • You have some much more to offer a man than just your body. If a guy isn't interested for any reason all you can do is move on, if someone is so superficial that they aren't interested in you because of your weight then they aren't worth being with in the first place. It sounds like you may be headed in the right direction…
  • I do! It burns a boat load of calories. I don't use a real rope though since I don't have the room for it but I do the arm motion using light hand weights.

  • Don't get down on yourself, I see a BIG change in you! We all have things we don't like about our bodies, you just have to keep working at it, we are always hardest on ourselves. Strength training if you aren't already doing it will really help to reshape your body and even it out more. Good luck and keep up the great work.
  • Welcome! I share many of the same interests. I avoided exercise for years too because I felt defeated when I tried (yeah it is hard) but stick with it and you will be suprised how easy it gets, just make sure to do things you enjoy, keep trying until you find them.
