I personally haven't walked/jogged outside in too cold of weather, but I found a couple of websites that might be helpful: http://www.fitsugar.com/What-Wear-Winter-Running-6287968 http://www.runnersworld.com/running-apparel/what-wear

You might want to add calorie dense foods then you get more calories but not too much added volume (think avocados, nuts, cheeses, etc). Just make note of the fat content in these, though. Good luck on your journey!

I'm inclined to think that this is one of those scenarios where legally they're allowed to say it has zero calories because it's under a certain amount of calories per serving, but it actually has some calories to it. Not enough to notice if you have one or two servings a day, but if you're consuming large quantities of it…

Also check out this website (gives you an idea for how many layers you should wear depending on the temp outside). http://www.runnersworld.com/running-apparel/what-wear

I'm of the belief that anything that gets you moving and makes you feel (and ultimately look) good is something worth doing. After high school I stopped being active and I regret it now, but I'm more active now and stronger (able to jog longer and lift heavier weights) even though I weight a lot more. I too have recently…

First, how's your quality of sleep? If you're getting a good night's sleep then even if you aren't a morning person you should still feel rested. If you're not, you might want to look into that. I've heard people say not to exercise too close to bedtime because you'll have a hard time getting to bed, but I actually find…

I was in high school. I remember when the first plane hit I was in Study Hall and the janitor came into the Band Room (where I hung out during Study Hall) and told us what happened. At that time they thought it was an accident. By the time I went to my next class (Art) the second plane hit so we knew it was no longer an…

Sometimes I give into them. Other times, like tonight, I go to bed early and tell myself I'll get up earlier in the morning to do some exercising (the getting up early part usually only happens about 30 % of the time though lol). Goodnight all!!

I was wondering how people did this on the forums! I'm like my Ctrl+B isn't working!! Thank you for posting this.

I need to find my original post to reply, but when I weighed in on 9/5 I was 204 ( 0.2 lbs up from the previous weigh in). Had a wedding over the weekend and yesterday I invited people over for lunch. Twisted my foot at the wedding while leaving (it was dark and I stepped in a hole). Luckily it feels better today because I…

Some good suggestions, such as fitting the food you like into your goals and making it yourself versus the kind you buy in the store. I know you say you don't want to have to take too much time to prepare food, but you don't have to do it on a daily basis to be healthy. Maybe pick one day of the week, like Sunday, where…

You are a true inspiration! You look great!!!!

Put blukitten and YF92 together and you really got something going...

I don't have as many tips because I'm still obese so it's easier for me to tell people no, but I had to reply because I still feel where you're coming from. My husband is like yours; he'll ask me if I'm sure or say I don't need it, but he won't stop me if I really want it. There was one time I asked him to split a slice of…

Here are the purchases I made that I feel have been the best purchases for me: Inexpensive: Dumbbells Somewhat pricey: Fitbit One High end purchase: Elliptical machine (both my husband and I use it so we have gotten our money's worth and it even made the move from our apartment to the house) I also bought a set of Tae Bo…

I was one of those eager brides that bought a dress shortly after my engagement. We weren't getting married for another 2 years but I found "the dress" and it was discontinued so if I didn't get it then I wouldn't be able to. I gained a little weight but swore I would lose it. I reached a point where I actually weighed 10…

Yes, this is something I need to start doing. I have a food scale but only really used it to weigh proteins such as chicken. I use measuring spoons, but they aren't as accurate as the scale either. My cottage cheese says that it has 6 half cup servings, but when I measure 1/2 cup (level) I only get a little over 4 servings…

I might be late to the party again, but Soap. My mom would tell me about the show and when it came out on DVD she got it. The way season 4 ended you could tell there should have been more seasons and sometimes I wonder how it would have ended if it wasn't so abruptly cancelled.

Strong coffee helps too

Yes!!! Cinema nouveau...ahh...

Of course...real skates too, none of those rollerblade things...oh and legwarmers--definitely need legwarmers. I heard about the Broadway show. I read about it online and it sounds like they altered the plot a little? From what I read the sisters were more involved than what they were in the movie.

Look at me showing up all late to the party...

The Three Amigos and Tropic Thunder are awesome!! Mine is Xanadu--see ticker below. Michael Beck said that Warriors (another great movie) opened doors that Xanadu then closed. It's a shame because I love Xanadu and everything about it - the actors (had a crush on Beck and still do), the music, the outfits (yes, the…

I like listening to a variety of music, but I noticed lately that I've been gravitating toward certain songs from the Rush soundtrack. I'm a huge fan of Hans Zimmer. Into the Red is a really good one from that soundtrack. Other than that I go anywhere from pop to metal depending on my mood.

I know people gave advice about how much you should eat which could help, but I'm going to go in a different direction. You may want to put this weight loss on the back burner for now. You said several times in your post about your mood and that you had more successful weight loss when your mood was more balanced. I think…

It does also taste good with blueberries or peaches, but my fav CC and fruit combo is pineapple.

I use in in place of yogurt in my fruit smoothies.
