  • litterally last week i put on 5 lbs in one day because of it.. when i was done i was with in half a pound of where i started from... dont worry about that week to the best you can and kick butt the other three weeks of the month.... I dont go anywhere near a scale that week.
  • i do c25k also... i am alternating it with other workouts doing it about every other day.. there is a thread on here for c25k you might like... i will say that i was doing a workout the same day as c25k and i was having trouble getting through the longer runs so i switched it up a little bit... i am going to start wii fit…
  • i tried really hard not to worry about it when i was pregnant the health of you and the baby is the only thing that should matter, eat smart stay as active as possible and dont worry about the scale until you get to the dr's for check ups..... congrats :)
  • yes it is...lots of things you can do most obviously is make sure you have the right shoes.. other than that stretch stretch stretch and this sounds funny but believe me it works. three times a day sit in a chair and hold your legs out straight. Draw the alphabet with your toes in the air. It really does help...

  • i think the disbelief part comes from that when people dont watch and log what they eat they have no idea what they are taking in in a day... example. never tracked my food before this Sunday went to breakfast had something that i normally would have gotten before mfp and used to be i'd go home have some lunch and dinner..…

  • no more dieting, time for a lifestyle change it's the only way that it will work . you can do this i have been obese my whole adult life according to my doctor my husband says that i'm just thick. But slowly but surely it's coming off. steady exercise and balanced eating is the way to do it.
  • i've lost 35 and people are just starting to even notice. i am still in the same clothes granted they are big but i can still wear them. yes its frustrating but i aint stopping until i get a new wardrobe... lolol...
  • a couple of things i have found that can help... one are your shoes fitted for you by a running store...sometimes you can unknowingly have a turn to your foot as you land i think they call it pronating or overpronating they will check this and put you in the right stability of shoe. its about the shock absorbtion too but…

  • cut yourself some slack indulging in a few guilty pleasures while TOM is around isnt going to hurt you.... if anything it may put you in a better mood so that you will want to go to the gym... remember is takes over 3500 extra calories to gain one lbs the rest is just water.

  • if you're already having shin pain and not yet running just doing the in place stuff i would advise that you go get fitted for running shoes.. i went when i started and just bought a pair of New balance shoes that felt comfortable and after running in them a few times was in tears hurting so bad... i found a place in…
  • go get fitted at a specialty running store.. even if you dont buy them there because they are more expensive you can find them online and get the same shoe.. because depending on how you run is what the best shoe for you is... i got fitted and wear a new balance 760 which is totally different than the new balance 758...…
  • i do at least one day a week on a treadmill and that tells me the calories burned.
  • i took about 4-6 weeks before i got over being hungry all the time, i did find that i wasnt hungry after working out so on weekends when i have unlimitted access to food i do a lite workout in the morning and a heavier workout before dinner late afternoon. helps me to eat less through out the day.. but it is a constant…
  • That's really good. if i go faster my chins start to hurt because i land to hard... but like i said it aint about the speed for me. i was a smoker for 20 years. Quit in April last year so the fact that i am running and speed walking now for 30-45mins at a time is a huge achievment.
  • i'm also doing the c25k program but i am not worried at all about completeing a 5k under 30 mins more like 45... i just want to be able to run that distance it has nothing to do with speed. i run at 5.2 mph and that's as fast as i will go.. it hurts to do more than that and my heart rate is right where it needs to be with…
  • try getting them in bed by 8-30 or 9pm that would at least get you half and hour to 45 mins... some parents let their kids stay up a lot later than that but you have one 5 and school will be around the corner... they need those habits early so it doesnt shock their system.. my boys are now 12 and 8. My 8 year old is in bed…
  • did week 5 day 1 today... pretty good time,,,, i did an extra five mins inclined at the end... felt good... runs at 5.2 walks at 4. not to bad...
