I balance my checkbook the old fashioned way every month. I write fewer checks than I used to but i still write a few. LOL I guess you can tell I'm from an older generation

I have not been as thin as you since I was about 13 years old but I do know a thing or 2 about sabotaging myself. I have done it for years and especially when I get close to my goal weight. I have also learned that maintaining is the hardest thing of all. You have to be just as mindful of what you are eating as you are…

I agree lemurcat but i do have thanksgiving down to a science. It is my favorite meal to cook.

my daughter has been really successful with MFP by changing to whole grains and less beef no soda and just eating healthier in general. she does fit treats in to her meals. I am following her example and doing well with making better choices.

yes sodium causes water retention. You are lucky it is only 1 pound. I am sodium sensitive so for me it can be really bad as much as 5 pounds. I have to take extra diuretics when that happens. thanks to MFP I can see how much sodium I have eaten and reduce the number of times this happens to me.

I use my computer most of the time because i have trouble navigating the food diary on my phone. it sometimes takes a long time because of internet performance especially if I do a food search

I find if I have a craving it is better to have what I really want than to ignore it. Lucky for you what you are craving is not too bad. My cravings are usually for sweat things and high calorie food like pizza. I do limit the serving size and track what I eat. the longer I am on MFP the better I get at handling cravings

congratulations. what a great transformation. You are an inspiration for all of us.

I lived in the tampa bay area for 10 years and loved it. close to the gulf slower pace than miami. you will need to check on the schools though. some are good some not. I left due to work reasons and still consider moving back. My kids were young and we had a great house with a pool. They loved it too. good luck to you

I used to eat fast food at least once a week or more but now I almost never eat it. when I do I count it and don;t beat myself if I go over my calorie limit for the day. I try to make the best choice I can but most fast food isn't worth it.

You look fantastic CONGRATULATIONS

welcome to MFP. there is a lot of support here. use the tools to determine how much you want to lose each week and get your calorie range. try to track what you eat as honestly as possible. you will do great.

I love them all. favorite probably gruyere.

I agree you look great in all of them. I like 2 & 3 best

I did MFP a few years ago and was lazy about weighing measuring and tracking my food. I only lost 12 lbs and quit. I recommitted back in august and made a commitment to logging my food to the best of my ability every day good and bad and I have been very successful this time around. The thing is once you add a food to your…

I used to think that way too. It was like giving myself permission to go off the deep end. I finally have changed my thinking. I do my best to track everything I eat good and bad. I don't beat myself up for going over my calorie goal for the day. I just try to make better choices the next day. I made a really bad decision…

walking anywhere can be counted but I usually don't add back calories for walking around the mall etc. If I walk just for the sake of walking or do a treadmill or aerobics class then I feel ok adding back in some calories for that exercise. Have fun at Disney.

speaking from my own experience. very low calorie diets wreak havoc with metabolism and how I burn calories. I was on a liquid diet and lost 30 lbs in one month. when I went to eating low calorie 1200 I gained back all 30 lbs. plus more. I went on another low calorie diet where I ate 600 calories a day and was losing 3 lbs…

using myself as an example. My MFP calorie goal daily is 1280 calories to lose 2 lbs a week. I almost never hit that number exactly and I don't beat myself up over it but I track what i eat every day and try to be as honest as I can be with weighing and measuring. If I stay under 1500 calories on a day I am still happy…

this is my second time around with MFP. the first time I only lost about 12 lbs and I put it all back on but it was my own fault. this time I have been concentrating on keep an honest food diary and am doing much better. finally being honest with myself about what I am eating and tracking to the best of my ability has…

Congrats. you look amazing.

plain water is supposed to be the best for you. I have cut out diet soda's so there are times I want some flavor. I have started drinking flavored teas without any sweetener. I like celestial seasonings tangerine orange and raspberry zinger the best. I also like water with fresh cucumber as some mentioned.
-
congratulations you look great
-
I'm not getting any younger hoping to get healthier and add a few years to my life

talk to your dr. Typically your calorie level should be higher while you are pregnant not lower. The good thing about tracking what you eat on MFP is that you can make notes on your food diary. If a particular food is making you throw up more than another food stop eating it. Good luck

You're just too good to be true can't take my eyes off of you

Happy Birthday. I started out with more than 100 lbs to lose and am almost at my 1st 10% loss. You can do this. there are many people here to offer support. good luck on your journey.
