I live in DC and you can totally find cheap if you eat during Happy Hour. A couple of my favorites are La Tasca and Masa 14, they do tapas style so small plates! Feel free to message me if you want other suggestions based on food preference. :)

I have this same issue, I usually reduce my dairy intake during the day and at night avoid dairy all together (unless it's lactose free vanilla ice cream!). I started to follow the Paleo diet...well not completely-they would call it primal because I do have cheese occassionally. My first day I went over by 1300 calories! wowza! When I go over my calories, instead of sitting and watching tv, I stand and walk in place. I agree with everyone else, tomorrow is another day...pack some snacks!
