Avoid lactose side effects at night?

I am slightly lactose intolorent. I get gassy & a little bloated but nothing serious. Would it be beneficial to me if I were to enjoy my dairy, but at bed time so that by the time I wake up the dairy has been digested & the side effects gone? Does that make sense?

I doesn't matter when you eat any particular food. If that works, why not?

I have this same issue, I usually reduce my dairy intake during the day and at night avoid dairy all together (unless it's lactose free vanilla ice cream!). I realized when I reduced my dairy (I don't eat much but I do love some cheese<in moderation> and occassionally greek yogurt) and didn't do cheese/dairy before bed I was less gassy. Find what works for you and stick with it! Good luck :)

Have you tried lactase enzyme? aka Lactaid.

Lactaid works wonders. Even the store brand generic ones are fine.... except the ones from Costco. Forget those.

What works for me is eating smaller amounts of it. Some things don't cause issues at all, and others are more problematic than expected. You just need to figure yourself out.

Might work for you but whomever you spend your nights with will NOT have a good time

I wouldn't be able to sleep through it! Seriously, keep some of those Lactaid pills on hand for times you spurge on dairy. You only take them with your first bite of dairy, so it's not like you have to take them twice a day for the rest of your life or anything!
