I also work a 7 am - 3pm shift. I've done both morning and afternoon workouts. I find I get better results in the morning. Also I feel like it starts the day off right and I feel more awake and have more energy when I work out in the morning. I do typically go to bed by about 9pm though so I can make it to the gym at 5 am

I love mine, I don't use it to track calories, I just feel like it keeps me honest with how much I'm moving in a day. I always try to get 10 to 15k steps a day.

that's kinda where I was going. if I feel good and don't want to eat anymore why should I. like I said a lot of people on these boards think otherwise.
-
That's kind of what I was thinking. If I'm full and don't go over my calories who cares right?

a pound a week would be preferable . I guess my point to all of this is there are a couple schools of thought here. some people think that if you don't eat enough calories a day you will go into starvation mode and stop losing weight. others don't think that's true. All I want to know from people that have done IF…

I'm pretty strict on weighing my food. thanks for the suggestion.

Lol no didn't you read my post? my point is if you don't have anything relevant to say. no need to say anything.

I actually really like IF. I don't feel as hungry and have more energy. However I'm guessing my Calorie goal of 2500(based on TDEE) is a lot higher than yours. I really just want to know if its nesscary that I eat all those calories if I really don't feel like it.

your right. Hopefully we get an answer :)

no *kitten*? this is how you got to 25K+ posts?

I have been hitting my calorie goals, the problem is I have to eat even though I'm not hungry to do so. what I'm asking is: To the people who have done intermittent fasting successfully, Do you eat to meet your calorie goals or do you just eat till you are full?

Thanks for the advice. holiday were rough, but I stuck with it. Its crazy how fast it comes back and how slow it comes off again.

Yeah the app is awesome for tracking your progress.

I've been doing it for just about 2 months. Love the results I'm getting and with the exception of the first week I'm never really that sore. Its a different mindset than the isolation routines. the goal is to get stronger and denser. I usually follow my workouts with a brisk 20 minute walk on the treadmill. And then walk…

I get up everymorning at 4:50 and head to the gym. THe biggest thing for me is having everything I need ready the night before and going to bed earlier. Sad to say. I'm 31 years old but usually in bed on week nights by 8:30

My wife makes it spanish style with tomato suace green peppers and onions. Last night we had it with broccoli and 2% cheddar cheese it was really good the best way I've had it yet. Other wise we just cook it with chicken broth.

I eat 6 times a day. I would call them all meals. 3 meals and 3 snacks. I try to eat every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism going. it could be somthing a simple as an orange for a snack. The hardest part is remebering to eat when you get busy.

I use Optimum Nurtition 100% whey gold standard. Vanilla Ice cream flavor. It mixes in well with just about anything. its a little on the expensive side, but ive noticed the cheaper stuff tends to clump and can be really gross.
