I can't see the pictures, but that's a great NSV - very inspirational! Lisa x

Maybe try setting your weight loss at 1lb or 0.5 lb per week to give yourself a larger calorie allowance - that way you'll feel less deprived of the foods you like as you'll be able to fit them in better. The weight loss will be slower but you might be more likely to stick to it. Also making lots of smaller changes can…

Swimming is an excellent low impact exercise with a good burn (provided you don't paddle up and down too slowly!) - but without a Heart Rate Monitor (a water safe one!) you probably won't get an accurate count on the calories burnt. Lisa x

Some people pick by a weight they used to be, but having been overweight all my adult life I've based mine on my BMI. I know there's some criticism of BMI and how accurate they are, but for me a healthy BMI is a good starting point and once I can see myself at a healthy weight I can make decisions about how I want to look.

I've started drinking wine spritzers when I go out - mixed with soda water. The wine is the same number of calories, but the soda water means it lasts longer, so I have less in the long run! Other alternatives include offering to drive - no-one tries tempting you away from diet coke if you say you have to drive home! Lisa x

Count me in too please! I've slacked off this summer, and while I haven't gained weight, i haven't lost any either! This is just what I need to get myself going again!! (Added bonus: I do my food shop on a Sunday, so it's exactly the right day to get a fresh start!) Lisa x

Count me in - I've had a few off weeks and I need to get my a** in gear!! Lisa x

Hi, I'm 28 yo living in Shropshire, UK - I'm 34lbs down and 75 more to go (possibly more as this just gets me to BMI=25!) I'm sending the FR now... Lisa x

^^ this! I weigh once a week, first thing in the morning before breakfast, typically in my underwear just for consistency! and I log it every week, even if the scales went up a little, as I have to be honest with myself (and others) about my progress and what's working and what isn't. Lisa x

Ask him about his status - if he has nothing to hide he will explain it. I have a friend who changed her status on Facebook simply because she was fed up of the adverts for dating websites that popped up on the side! Facebook won't necessarily be the truth; a lot of people set their status as 'It's complicated' or 'In a…

I have an easy curry recipe I had from a weight watchers recipe book a few years ago. Marinade chicken overnight in a mixture of 0% fat greek yoghurt and curry paste (or curry powder). When you're ready to cook, in a deep frying pan with a little spray oil fry off some onions and then add the meat mixture. Brown the…

I generally go with distraction techniques! I recently taught myself to crochet which I do while watching tv, which has the side effect that I stopped thinking about food, especially during the adverts! Anything would work, fold laundry, read a book or magazine, check your email... check MFP and remind yourself of all the…

If you're happy on a treadmill the Couch 2 5K running program might be a good idea. Even if, like me, you just do the first week it's still a useful way to get started (I'm not really a runner, but it keeps me on the treadmill, and working harder than I would without it!) I would also suggest doing any classes they have on…

There's nothing like proving someone wrong to motivate you! Just remember: one day you'll be skinny, but he'll still be an a-hole! ;) Lisa x

As long as your calories in vs out for the week is at a deficit there's no reason why you can't do this as long as you're eating sensibly the rest of the week (i.e. not starving yourself all week!) If it's as hot and sunny where you are as it is here you could probably do with a nice ice cream! :D Lisa x

I'm in! I want to loose as much as possible before a job interview on 24th July! :D Feel free to add me if you want support/motivation! Lisa x

The UK Department of Health guidelines are to drink 1.2 litres of water a day, including milk and fruit juice http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Goodfood/Pages/water-drinks.aspx

Well done! 'Good luck' seems the wrong sentiment for a Graduation ceremony - but I hope you have a fabulous day tomorrow as well! Lisa x

Hi, My sister has a great recipe for Spicy Pumpkin soup similar to this one: http://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipe/spicy-pumpkin-soup-L8806.html which is delicious (although I don't use cream in mine). I've also made it with mixed root vegetables instead of the pumpkin (potatoes, parsnip, carrot, swede etc) which is also…

Hi, I'll send you a friend request. I'm 28yo from Shropshire, UK and I've lost 26lbs out of 105 (to get to BMI of 25, so possibly a few more after that too!) Anyone else feel free to add me too if you want some support and motivation! Lisa x

You could make your own museli. I've just found this recipe online which makes 30 servings at 177 calories each: http://breakfast.food.com/recipe/muesli-low-fat-low-gi-diabetic-319428 but if you type 'low calorie museli recipe' into a search engine you'll get loads of alternatives!

bump - a fantastic story. Well done on reaching your target, this is just what I need to read on low-motivation days! Lx

I recently bought a 42DD sports bra from a shop on eBay - very reasonable price too (£14.99 if I recall correctly including p&p!) it's worth running a search for sports bra and your size as most people list the sizes available in the item's title. Lisa x

Hi, I just turned 28 and I weighted 267 at the end of last year - It's been slow going for me loosing the weight as I've been busy with work and doing a course at college, but I'm getting there slowly and with my course nearly finished I'll be able to get to the gym a bit more often too! I'm in the same boat in regards to…

What about using Google Calendar? I don't know how well it prints out, but you can colour code different activities as well as access it from anywhere via the internet as well as via a smartphone/ tablet if you have one. Lisa x
