YAY for 'FUN SIZE" <3 I'm 4'10", 44, & have been maintaining since 8/2013. Although I do not lift per say I have incorporated some weight bearing exercises and I'm LOVING the body definition ... albeit it's a tediously slow process. lol

Hello & Welcome to MFP! Best of luck to you!

+1

Veggies no Fruit yes - just because it is typically higher in sugar & carbs than veggies If you are aiming to lose you should probably use MFP to it's fullest & catalog everything. Good luck!

Yup Yup ... ahhh the lovely 'benefits' of womanhood no? Try to have healthy go-to snacks so when the muchies DO come on you can at least have some control over the quality if not the quantity. I also follow the 90/10 Rule (80/20 variation) so I don't have the additional stress of eating out of my norm to make my cravings…

Spot on ... stress signals the body to produce more Cortisol - hence the weight gain or weight loss stall

The root cause here is how you choose to deal with 'emotions' because obviously you know how to lose the weight (congrats btw on the 100# lost). SO I'm thinking that you may benefit from speaking to perhaps a 'Life Coach' of sorts to teach yourself NEW coping skills instead of reverting to bad habits of eating food for…

90/10 Rule I just carry on

Perhaps you may want to consult with a 'Life Coach' of sorts to retrain your brain how to process "pain" in a different way - a healthier more positive way. Life is hard, disappointments / pain / sadness will always be present in one form or the other in varying degrees - it can't be avoided & often times not within our…

I think the ONE thing I've learned from this wt loss / maintaining journey is that we are all different & there is no wrong or right way to go about things. Unfortunately there's no blanket solution for everyone. Many will just have to kind of figure out what works for them individually to maintain for life. Congrats!
-
I think it depends ENTIRELY what works best for you & your lifestyle. Some people can 'eyeball' food fairly accurately or have just trained themselves to eating proper portions. While others (like me) have incorporated seamlessly the food logging process. There is no blanket answer for everyone and unfortunately you'll…

Depends on the individual really. Some naturally hold on to more water weight than others which would need a larger variance. Of course the ladies have to deal with any additional flux the female cycle may or may not bring. For me, it has been 2-3 lbs flux range but it has been over a yr & I usually flux about 1 -2 lbs. I…

WHAT is consumed and HOW MUCH of it has more direct impact on weight management over the long term than exercise so the short answer to your question is no, not necessarily. Exercise keeps the body in check ie. blood sugar, heart health, muscle definition etc. You can certainly maintain if you continue to be vigilant in…

+1 And do you remember that saying waaaay back when, 'READING is FUNDAMENTAL'? I've found it crucial to READ food labels! Don't just glance at the label of something with the current popular 'buzz words' for healthy (fat free, natural, gluten free, etc) and assume it's the healthiest option. For example, did you know that…

Hello! Welcome! And CONGRATS! You may want to repost this in the Maintaining section of the forums for a more robust response.

CONGRATS!
-
Absolutely! Meds which affect serotonin / dopamine WILL impact weight. People crave sugary, simple carbs, 'comfort food' because it produces the combination of serotonin / dopamine in the brain - makes us feel all warm & fuzzy. So meds impacting those two brain chemicals may potentially increase that craving for foods…
-
Quite possibly - Thanks very much for this insight.

ahhhm we Insta / Pin a lot so many times someone in the group may come across something that we want to ck out also. So yea we sort of do our thing on the phone & chit chat simultaneously - if that makes sense. And I don't think it's really about the portions but more so that a lot of times when the question makes it's way…
-
A little yea - Was just trying to survey if others have had similar experiences & what they did in the situation Last time I looked that's what the forums are for ... sharing experiences But it has turned to being critique of my phone etiquette from people who doesn't know me & obviously would not be rl friends so seems…
-
if was your friend i would be more annoyed at you constantly being on your phone... i find it so rude, regardless of whether its facebook, MFP or whatever...
Yes! Thank you!
Off Topic Much? I guess that's why we're not friends? LOL Has nothing to do with the OP ... just saying
-
We're techies so ahhm yea we're all on our phones quite a bit - that's why we're friends I suppose. lol
-
Yup I log my food right before a meal. It's just how I like to do it. Many local mom & pop eateries do not have a menu online to pre-look and log. I'm always on my phone so unless they ask specifically what I'm doing I don't make any mention of it. Yes, quite often there is a few comments floating about. So there you go…
-
ahhh gotcha And yea ... xtra weight just has no where to hide on us! LOL
-
Perfect sense & 100% can relate. It is a bit surreal and only time will allow us to acclimate to the new physique. I didn't wear horizontal stripes until about 18 mos after I lost the weight because it was ingrained in my head that I can't pull it off, it will just make me look wider. Every now & again I still…
-
HAHAHAHA Yes I agree every fraction of an inch counts when you are 'fun size' I'm 4'10" :) Have you thought of maybe changing up your exercise? It may help.

Hello & Welcome to MFP!

You're posting in the wrong section. This is for folks who have already reached goal & is maintaining. Maybe try to repost this to the 'losing' to get more replies
-
ahhh gotcha! How tall are you? I noticed that there's a lot of mention of how much is consumed but I didn't see anything in regards to exercise. (It's hard to go through walls of texts lol) Do you lift at all? Are you continuing some form of cardio? (just curious)
-
My first question would be are you weighing yourself at the same time of the week, same time of day, & in same clothes? If not try to regulate that before you panic. Something to maybe consider - The human body is about 60% water so weight will flux ... constantly just based on that alone. Some people will flux 2-3 lbs…
