Tell them you recently discovered you are sensitive to gluten and try to avoid it as much as possible. if they keep it up, just say you need to do what's right for your health.

Age definitely plays a role. Even as I get into better shape I don't think I'll CF more than 4 times a week.

At least the "theres" sound alike, so I can maybe understand it. Loose and lose sound different, are spelled different...it just baffles me. This is not a quick fix you're working on. Slow and steady (and adding more time/resistance) are what will get you to the finish line.

Same here Allan. I'm 45 and I usually go 3 times a week, maybe four every other week. That's really about all I can take without getting run down.
-
Have you taken any break at all in the past 12 months? I'm guessing might just need a week or two off. And by off I mean resting, light low impact cardio, mobility work. No lifting, no WODS.

Um...you lost plenty of what??? Good job on weight loss, if you want to firm up your arms lift heavy weights, the muscle will fill things out nicely.

This. Own in and enjoy your own body. Plenty of guys like nice, strong calves. Trust me on this.

Your profile says you are in Ames IA, looks like two boxes there. Might be time to check the other one. http://www.bing.com/entities/search?q=crossfit+in+ames+IA&filters=segment%3a%22local%22&src=ie9tr&pin=YN873x10355269283833204949%2cYN873x3785450964625641665&FORM=MAPAGG If you know other members are having similar…

I've been using this almost since it came out. They've really cleaned up some of the early problems and it works very well. The free version should be more than enough for you but the pay version has some nice extra features and is only about $20/yr.

I can't fault him too much. He never said "don't do it" and I bet he sees a TON of guys with back injuries related to deadlifting. My doctor is pretty good. She never bothers mentioning BMI to me any more after I pointed out that even at my ideal weight (call it 230, where I'd have about 15% bf) I'd still be obese…

First of all, I appreciate the fact that you know the difference between "lose" and "loose." Warms my heart, it does :) Second, i like the idea of changing it up, but I'd have some sort of plan for it. You want to do it regularly enough that it becomes habit. In my experience that takes a couple of months. At first I'd…

All quads for me. I really didn't have any problems with the wall balls. Did 15-15-10-10 first round then did 5s for the first half of round 2 and my coach said, give me 7 next so we did 7-7-6 In that second round of singles my timing was (finally) perfect, I just couldn't do more than 20 at a time. My quads just would say…

That's an excellent number. I managed 502. Could not get more than 15 singles strung together in round one then one round two bang out 54 to start and my legs were toast. Took the rest in chunks of 15-20. I'm definitely going to try this again when I'm a bit thinner and my cardio engine is in better shape. Another fun…

^I'm doing it mainly with white rice, but I'll probably add some oatmeal to my breakfasts soon too as I've never had issues with it.

Creatine works without a doubt, but when you stop it will be hard to hold onto the muscle mass you've gained using it. It also gave me horrid gas, which is why I stopped using it. I do fish oil, glucosamine/chondroitin for my knee and a multivitamin. A few days a week during winter I take Vitamin D. Not during the summer.

Watched one of our better guys get 374 last night. I've never seen someone make muscleups look so easy. He went unbroken for the first round, 4 and 3 for the other two

Doing my home state proud.....not

My lower back will be screaming from the wallballs...and I'm not sure we even have 9 foot marks. I guess I will just aim underneath the normal target.

It speaks more to their own insecurities than anythign else. The truth is they don't want to date a woman who is physically stronger and/or more capable than they are.

I just want to throw in that my breakfast this morning was more than 1200 calories, and my lunch was over 1000. And I've lost 3 lbs in the past two weeks. As a former athlete I suspect you know that eating a net of 500 calories a day is 1. unsustainable for more than a few days 2. not going to get you where you want to be,…

My legs are proportionate, I just have no butt. Though almost 2 years of CF has added about 2 inches to my hip measurement. DAT *kitten*!!

^I never jump down from my box jumps. I am beyond paranoid about blowing out my Achilles.

Good post. I have been more focused on getting stronger lately, which has worked mainly because it's easy for me. Now I've decided it's time to work on my GOAT. Losing weight. That has always been hard and is going to require more effort, but I'm pretty confident I can do it the right way and keep it off

^Crossfit babe problems :)

If that was your coaches that's BS. You control your workouts, not them.

I'll second the "nice shoulder" comment :)
