Can't do pullups (yet) and I suck at thrusters. Once I get pull ups I'll have to give this a go.

So Fallout 3 is included in the console version. I'm seriously considering playing it through and THEN doing 4. I never did get through the first game as a neutral (good and bad, yes) so that would be fun to try. I also never got all the bobbles. That would certainly stretch out my dollar :)

It's pretty common. I think of it more like an easy way to moderate calories. I really do feel better when i leave out grains. I have better energy, I don't get tired after eating, etc. I tolerate dairy well, but I usually stick to Greek yogurt there just because it's tough for me to hit my daily protein goals.

Hmm....that didn't happen to me. I was fine after my first class. If you consider "thought I was going to die" as being "fine" :)

Nelson I still have mobility issues, especially front rack, but I'm light years better than I was when I started. I can actually squat below parallel now, which is a big thing for me.

I'll take this every day and twice on Sundays, though at the end of the day I do need to to get lighter. If I convert this fat to muscle I should be playing football :)
-
Others stick to it more than me, but I'll say that if you are starving after you eat, you aren't eating enough. As long as you tolerate yogurt and oatmeal/granola well, add it and see how things go. Ideally on ETF you are losing about a pound a week. So don't expect quick progress.

Can I ask why an ACL/MCL repair surgery isn't an option? That would seem to be the precursor to a replacement. I tore my ACL at age 21, had it repaired and have had few problems other than it being sore for a day or so if I really push it.

I'll also add that as a woman, there is something on a monthly basis that is going to cause to gain and then lose weight. That could also be a factor here.

Prepare to be very, very sore. Foam roll and mobilize as much as possible. take a look at the pinned thread at the top of the page, lots of good tips there for people getting started. My 3rd or 4th CF workout was 100 burpees for time. I thought I was going to die. Took me about 22 minutes. Second time I did it was in a…

Just started playing a silly game on Xbox called Rogue Legacy. Fun and pretty engaging. I'm also thinking that I will buy "premium" edition for the first time just to get the Pip-Boy case.

Set in Boston, and people have already parsed the trailer to figure out the exact location of Vault 111....which is about a mile from my house. Can't wait to play this game.

I was jelly, believe me. Worst 2 minutes of life in a very long time. I was on the floor so long afterwards the coach referred to me as "the dead body over there." And I am NEVER the guy on the floor after a WOD. I stood up for about 30 seconds and was just like "this will get better faster if I lay down and expend no…

Jeff 45 years old, born just outside of Boston MA and now live in Belmont, MA. Married (second time has been a charm) with no kids and no pets. I love cats, but the landlord won't allow them. I started Crossfit almost two years ago. I have lifted weights fairly consistently since I was 26 or so. Before that I had strong…

I still think you're pretty cool, despite the pickiness :)

^OK....that is one of those "this doesn't look so bad" workouts that is just awful. It's quads, quads and more quads all the time. I actually had to stop twice to catch my breath on the row and still got it done in 2 minutes. I think my body temperature was elevated for like 2 hours after the workout. Good stuff.

Barbells. Plates. Kettlebells

You do what you've already done. Slow down, stop and walk if you get overheated. make sure you stay hydrated and your body will keep adjusting.

Probably squats. I had no *kitten* to speak of when I started CF two years ago. My hip measurement is now 2 inches large. Gainz.
-
just like any other exercise. Search for "chopping wood" in the database. It's there, though I doubt it's accurate.

Today's WOD....all the squats. I'll be doing this one RX. Only real issue should be cardio and I'm sure in the second round I'll have to take a pause or two during the air squats and wall balls Back Squat Build to a 5 Rep Max for the day "Squat City" 3 Rounds for time: 20 Air Squats 15 Wall Balls (20/14) 10 Back Squats…

Beach will be end of July. I'll take some photos when I get there to give a better idea of the size.
-
^Love this because it's a pretty easy WOD for me to do at the beach. I'll replace the weighted run with going up and over the dune between our house and the beach. Probably will be even harder than the med ball run :)
-
usually 3, but I need to ramp it up. This summer has been busy for me so far so it's really been more like 2 with a few walks/light cardio sessions/hikes on other days.
-
RX is 135/95. I'm probably going to scale to 75. Thrusters are my single biggest weakness, mainly due to lack of mobility.
-
Boston will have a few hot, humid, sticky days but the Atlantic Ocean is a giant heat sink and usually cools things off on the coast a bit.

That's where the crockpot is key. Less than an hour of prep then 8 hours later you come back and divvy it up.

Hero WOD today for some crazy reason. This should be fun. The Seven 7 rounds for time 7 HSPU (I'll scale this in some way, maybe regular pushups or wall walks) 7 Thrusters (will scale weight)\ 7 K2E 7 Deadlifts (245/165) 7 Burpees 7 KB Swings (2/1.5) Might scale, but I think I'm going to start with 2 and see how it goes 7…
