  • Bluetooth earphones and headphones. Phone tucked in bra while lifting, but I pull it out to log reps. While doing cardio, I put it on the machine so it doesn't fall to the floor
  • I've lost 117 lbs over the past 20 months. I went 18 months on moderately reduced carbs, and have reduced them even further over the last 2 months to break through a bit of a plateau I was on. I still have 20 lbs to go to goal before reevaluating. I log every day, so feel free to add me as a friend if you like.
  • I've been doing low carb (about 50g per day, as recommended by my Naturopathic Dr.) for the past two months, and a no refined carbs for the year and a half before that. I've lost 116 lbs so far (26 in the last 2 months) and have about 20-25 left to go. Feel free to add me
  • I'm pretty active on here as far as logging goes, so feel free to add me. 38F, I'm 20 months into my decision to be healthy and have lost 113 lbs so far with about 30 more to go! You can do this!
  • When my brother, who has been an athlete his entire life, asked me what my resting heart rate is currently (I've never been an athlete, as I have some physical limitations. I've been obese most of my life but have been working hard in the gym for 18 months and lost 105 lbs). I confirmed with my fitbit and told him my…
  • You're welcome. According to dictionary.com to motivate is "to give incentive to". So, maybe what you need to get your butt moving is an incentive plan. Is there something you'd like to save up for, or things you'd like to treat yourself to? (not food related). So for example, start with 20 min a week, or whatever you can…
  • You say you really don't care about the benefits of exercise, so not to be rude, but I don't understand then, why you are stressing yourself out about not going to the gym regularly or hating the gym. For me, my motivation came when I realized that I was sick and tired of feeling gross and out of shape all the time, and…
  • I think I will join as well! I also want to try and rock a sexy costume for Halloween! CW:207 GW: 187
  • feel free to add me. I've gone through the cycles 4 times, and right now through the summer I'm maintaining and will be back on full throttle in a few weeks.
  • The cookbook is a nice to have but is not a necessity. I have only made a few things from it so far. Yes, you can absolutely use frozen fruits and veggies. I was told whey isolate is the type of protein to get, as for brand, everyone has different tastes and price points. A lot of people get Body Fortress from Wal-mart. I…
  • That's great news SanDFit!! Welcome back Lilly! Don't worry...going back to a strict C1 for a few days will definitely get rid of that water gain!!
  • Back to cycle 1 for me today, after gaining a bit back! All of my fun summer commitments are over now though, so other than some time at my parents' cottage, I don't have much planned and want to make a dent before September hits.
  • Yeah, just keep following the cycles through unless you stop for 2 weeks or gain 5 lbs.
  • I did all 3 three cycles 3 times through, one after the other. I'm currently working on a revised modified version of all of them for the summer. I've been trying to do a strict cycle 1 during the week, so that I can enjoy my weekends with camping and family visits.
  • what i've been doing for the past few months is: my tdee with no exercise less 500 calories. this is the number i try to net to. So, if i exercise, I try to eat a good portion of that number back, but I try to leave a little left over. But if I'm not hungry at all, at the end of the evening, i'll let it go light on…
  • try to get to your 1200 calories. if you're not hungry, then don't eat, but don't make a habit of eating to few calories. In my opinion, some people aren't used to eating more often as is required on most healthy diets. I think with time your body will adjust and you will eventually be able to eat more. Have you ever…
  • Awesome!! Doesn't it feel great when you are proud of yourself for passing things up?!
  • Actually only 62. I was 10lbs heavier when I first started using MFP than when I started the 17dd in January
  • keep up the good work!
  • There has been a revision that unoiled/unsalted nuts are allowed in all cycles. 2 tbsp counts as one of your oil servings. Since January, I've done the first 3 cycles 3.5 times. I'm on my fourth round, but since summer start and I'm away camping most weekends, I've been faithful through the week, and then decent on the…
  • Try adding in some unsalted almonds, protein shakes, or cheese for extra snack calories. When I first started out, my first 2 weeks were rough with headaches and slight weakness as well, but it subsided. Just stick with it. I try to net 1600 calories every day. Obviously some days are harder to get there than others, but…
  • If you're working out that much, just try and make sure to eat back most of your exercise calories
  • Good Luck! Just remember, the first week is the hardest!
  • Good Job! I did a similar thing when starting out...really focused on eating right, and slowly added in exercise after a month or so. I truely believe eating is the key to everything
  • Thanks Dyanna!! Good luck with your restart! I hope it goes better for you this time! As always, I'm happy to be here for you if you need me.
  • Well, I had a good week!! Lost the 2 lbs i gained last week plus an additional 2 lbs lost! Taking off camping for 10 nights starting tonight, so we'll see how I make out with that!. We're taking our bikes, and planning at least one golf game. I do plan on having some treats while I'm away, but hopefully I'll come out even…
  • I found turkey bratwursts (smokies). They are somewhat on plan, a little high in sodium, but difficult to be perfect while camping
  • Good Luck!
  • Yes, I always struggle with C2 a bit as well. It's the inconsistency between days. i find it hard to plan for, ie make rice for lunch one day the night before, but can't eat the leftovers until the 3rd day, etc. I always find a way to make it work though, either by adding corn or black beans to my meals. just do your best!…
