  • How's everyone doing this week? It's been kind of quiet the past couple days! I started my 4th round of cycle 2 yesterday. Due to timing, I never had the steak I was looking forward to, but bought some to take camping this weekend. Does anyone have any exciting plans for the upcoming holiday(s)?
  • Thanks Suzie! I was thinking the same thing. Next time i go, I'll talk to him about it. This morning I lowered the resistance to level 4 instead of 5, and it was much better, so maybe level is just too much for me.
  • Thanks so much!! It still feels like I have so far to go, but I appreciate the praise. Not sure what I can say, but I would say the biggest contributor (for me anyways) to my journey has been my eating. Exercise certainly helps, but in the beginning (1st month) I wasn't doing any exercise at all and the weight still came…
  • Dyanna, good luck with your restart! Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your results, but glad to hear you are sticking with it. I wouldn't recommend restarting again after this time though, for fear of losing interest with the restricted diet, and Dr Moreno has put the cycles in place for a reason. Good for you…
  • Good luck! You can do it!!
  • I have had success with all three cycles here is the breakdown of what i've lost so far Round 1 - C1 - 10.2lbs C2 - 6.4 lbs C3 - 0.6 lbs (I went away for a weekend in C3 and slowed my progress, but I was ok with it) Round 2 - C1 - 7.8lbs C2 - 4.4 lbs C3 - 5.2 lbs Round 3 - C1 - 6.6 lbs C2 - 2.6lbs C3 - 8.6lbs (Went away…
  • Just keep in mind that the "meal plan" in the book is actually just a guide, and it doesn't contain enough calories for a day. You have to make sure you get a minimum 1200 calories in a day, or you will eventually stall out and probably not have enough energy.
  • The opinion in the book is don't restart unless you've gained 5 lbs or been away from the diet for more than 3 weeks (i think it's 3). Just keep going, it'll get easier!
  • You're welcome!
  • Keep on keeping on!! Everyone slips from time to time, whether it be intentional or emotional or what not. The trick is to brush it off and keep going. The longer you go, the more you realize that you don't have to be perfect, and that one bad day doesn't set you back, and then eventually something changes and you learn to…
  • Dyanna, 4 lbs is a good loss! Slow and steady wins the race! I'm so happy to hear you are sticking with it. The second time around on cycle 1 will be much easier, I promise. By then you'll have been making changes for 51 days, which is almost 2 months, or just over 7 weeks. They say it takes 3 weeks of something to create…
  • Will this be your first time donating? If so, make sure you eat and drink plenty before you go. If not your first time, you should already have a general feel for how you feel after, and i would say it's fine to donate provided you've eaten and drank water before hand. As for after, they usually have fruit and yogurt as…
  • I friended you so you can see my diary for some ideas. Ignore the occasional piece of chocolate or other bad items!! ;) lol Are you getting your fruit, and 2 servings of yogurt? Also, what about your healthy fats? Almonds or veggies drizzled in olive oil. Also, how long and rigorous were you shopping for that you burned…
  • whitelilly: if you are only netting 300 calories you definitely gotta eat more! I always try to net my goal which is 1600, but sometimes it's hard but I try to at least net 1200 on days that i just can't eat enough. I would suggest figuring out what your TDEE is based on zero activity and use that as your goal, and try to…
  • Yes, we are going to figure this out. But yes, if you went from another plan straight to this one, you definitely won't see as high of losses as others making a switch for the first time in a while. Also, if it's your TOM (time of month) you may be retaining water. When you add in more calories, try to be consistent with…
  • Yay Suziecue! Just remember the losses tend to slow down a bit in cycle 2 and 3, but that's where measurements come in handy.
  • Trish, i was gonna suggest similar to Dyanna. I think you may need to up your calories, I know it's hard but it's for your benefit. If you're waiting on protein powder, try adding 1 or 2 cheese strings and some almonds each day. Also, how much do you need to lose, if it's not a whole bunch, it may not come off as quickly…
  • Thanks! I am proud of myself, but at the same time, working at keeping motivated b/c I am only nearing half-way, so I still have a ways to go. Within another 15-20 lbs loss for me, is uncharted waters, as it will be lowest I have been in my adult life, so i have no idea what my goal weight or body feels like, so I may…
  • This is awesome news!! Good lukc with your day!
  • Drink lots of water, and hopefully you'll see your # drop tomorrow. Also, one other thing to take into consideration is whether it's your TOM or not, as most women tend to retain water during that time, and drop it shortly after.
  • Thanks!! If you're feeling to weak to any activity, just take a rest day. You gotta take care of yourself. Burning yourself out can lead to injuries or even frustration and failure. Do what you can!
  • I think he was saying you don't need to be working out to be more attractive than you already are, because you have a great personality and that makes you infinitely attractive on top of your physical attractiveness. Sounds like a great compliment to me! Is he cute?
  • Sounds like everyone had a decent week! Keep up the great work! It absolutely gets better. My first two weeks back in January, I was super tired and had crazy headaches, but after seeing my massage therapist, the headaches went away and the extreme tiredness did as well. Today is a good day for me...3 months ago, I set a…
  • drink lots and lots of water every day. If it's unbearable there are herbal laxative teas that work well. Or any of the other regular methods of relief. Are you drinking lots of green tea? If so, maybe cut back for a while as it tends to have constipative side effects
  • Other than the cherry pie, that was a great day. A little light on the calories but good choices! Well done!
  • Oh that's totally me.... I have paper records of my weights and measurements from previous weight loss attempts. This time around has been highest weight loss to date, and I'm determined to make it to goal! I'm still shocked each and every time I compare to my starting size. What a great feeling!
  • Suzzie, Without seeing your diary, here are some broad suggestions for upping your calories. Unsalted almonds or other nuts, a small amount of cheese, protein shakes, or an extra serving of lean protein. Hope this helps!
  • Trish, there's no limit on how late you can eat your yogurt. I often have my second serving within an hour of bed. It's just the 2nd fruit that you are supposed to have 8 hours before bed. If you're hungry, eat!
  • Yes!! Take pictures too!
